<h3>Job Description Summary</h3>The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for an Automation Consultant to join us in Canberra, Australia. In this role, you will guide the on-site delivery and implementation of innovative Red Hat automation technology. Your focus will be on designing and deploying solutions using Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) and consulting on best practices for achieving enterprise automation goals. You will deliver quality work that results in a positive customer experience while building broad and deep technical expertise in automation. As an Automation Consultant, youll gain an understanding of our customers infrastructure and business needs, making recommendations for a comprehensive automation strategy that is appropriate for their environment.You should be a motivated learner with great problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly pick up new and potentially complex concepts.<h3>Primary Job Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>As a member of a team or as an individual, assist with the delivery of Red Hat Consulting engagements to our internal and external customers.</li><li>Serve as a subject matter expert at the client site, addressing technical, developmental, or strategic IT automation needs.</li><li>Design, implement, and deploy enterprise-wide automation solutions using Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform.</li><li>Consult with customers to define and implement automation best practices, patterns, and strategies.</li><li>Constantly learn about new automation technologies and apply those concepts to customer needs.</li><li>Produce quality results and provide support to more than one project in multiple industries and various types of projects.</li><li>Keep stakeholders updated on actual or potential issues that may affect project or company performance.</li><li>Manage problem identification, system architecture definition, and software specification, as well as the design, testing, and deployment of automation solutions.</li><li>Provide written project documentation that can be distributed within Red Hat and the client management team.</li><li>Adapt to changing customer requirements.</li><li>Serve as an ambassador of the company between the broader Red Hat and our customers.</li></ul><h3>Required Skills</h3><ul><li>Experience in a consulting or related role.</li><li>Experience designing and deploying enterprise-wide automation solutions.</li><li>Advanced knowledge of Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP).</li><li>Strong knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), particularly as it relates to automation, configuration management, and scripting.</li><li>Working knowledge of Linux security practices and tools to address Essential 8.</li><li>Technical expertise demonstrated in your previous career opportunities.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team to solve problems and issues.</li><li>Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation, or willingness to pursue certification within 90 days.</li><li>Customer focus and an understanding of the value that our work brings to our customers.</li><li>Australian government security clearance required.</li></ul>About Red Hat<a href="https://www.redhat.com/" target="_blank">Red Hat</a> is the world’s leading provider of enterprise<a href="https://www.redhat.com/en/about/open-source" target="_blank"> open source</a> software solutions, using a community-powered approach to deliver high-performing Linux, cloud, container, and Kubernetes technologies.
