About The Job:
The Red Hat Telco Center of Excellence (CoE) team is looking for a Technical Sales Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform technical sales supporting the Account Executive and the extended sales team in our current US based large Telco accounts. The candidate will need to have the ability to understand customer needs and challenges and link them to a set of Red Hat Ansible Automation offerings. This is a senior level sales position.
What You Will Do:
Your tasks will include identifying and creating sales opportunities for existing customer accounts through well-planned demand generation efforts such as Sales Plays, Hackathons, Workshops and specific Marketing events. Approximately 50% travel is required for this position.
Work with the Telco sales teams to plan the overall automation and multi-cloud strategy within a defined set of accounts.
Gain the trust of senior IT and business executives within key accounts and create long-term partnerships.
Ability to lead a consultative sales cycle, based on solution selling, which includes the whole of Red Hats portfolio rather than specific offerings
Identify net new AAP opportunities within your Telco accounts while supporting the sales teams identified AAP opportunities when required.
The ability to take ownership of an opportunity and drive it to a technical win is the primary responsibility of the Telco CoE AAP SSP.
What You will Bring:
7+ years of experience in sales or technical sales, with 3+ years focused on automation technologies like Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform.
Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving significant revenue growth
Ability to identify, manage, and progress qualified automation opportunities to closure.
Deep understanding of the telecommunications industry and its unique challenges.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives and key stakeholders.
Strong technical acumen with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Willingness to travel domestically up to 50%.
Bachelors degree in a technical or business-related field required; Masters degree is a plus.

Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
