You will be the day-to-day manager of the client relationship, a brand advocate, an agency facilitator, and a trusted partner to both clients and your team. We will depend on your marketing acumen and acute business sense to steward all elements of the engagement including project management: project definition, scope management, risk management, hand-off management, and team management. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: <ul> <li>Be a liaison to multiple internal and external stakeholders to ensure integration across the business monitoring, projecting and providing innovative solutions to marketing issues.</li> <li>Understand and manage a complex and technical workstream; oversee and guide technology and development teams against business objectives.</li> <li>Support business role and account side of technical work and decisioning, while understanding and managing details of technical development work in the context of a larger business picture and multi-year roadmap.</li> <li>Demonstrate accountability for agency performance, as well as financial and commercial management of the businesses.</li> <li>Facilitate the development of project briefs, working with strategic planners and analysts.</li> <li>Manage client expectations, objectives, timelines, and budgets.</li> <li>Lead an integrated agency model to ensure agency teams are aligned and working against shared goals.</li> <li>Manage interface with clients, creative teams, production, and consulting teams.</li> <li>Encourage client consideration and application of agency-generated POVs when developing ideas and advertising plans.</li> <li>Collaborate with other depts. (analytics, marketing strategy, creative, technology, etc.) to create and activate marketing communications plans, and SME showcases.</li> <li>Evaluate the input and ideas of creative, media and strategic planning relative to strategy and client preferences.</li> <li>Advocate for the business internally, and keeps the agency team informed, focused, and enthused about the work and the business.</li> </ul> REQUIRED SKILLS: <ul> <li>5-8+ years of account management agency experience required, direct marketing and digital marketing or CRM background.</li> <li>Previous work with technical and development teams.</li> <li>Agile training or experience is a plus.</li> <li>Demonstrated solid mid-level client experience and ability to navigate complex client organizations required.</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.</li> <li>Needs to be comfortable with ambiguity at times (both with clients and internally) be able to demonstrate flexibility and creative problem solving.</li> <li>Very experienced in presenting information both orally and in writing with excellent interpersonal, presentation and written skills.</li> <li>Positive attitude and sound work ethic with the desire to work in a fast-paced environment.</li> <li>Ability to demonstrate flexibility and creative problem solving.</li> <li>Sets and manages multiple project deliverables including time and cost estimates with internal and external clients.</li> <li>Understands and manages factors related to account profitability, client satisfaction, and client retention.</li> <li>Needs to be a team player, friendly, easy to work with.</li> <li>Needs to be able to handle many different personalities both internally and externally.</li> <li>Proven ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast paced and deadline driven environment.</li> <li>Ability to work effectively and proactively within a team setting that is geographically dispersed.</li> </ul> <hr /> Our hybrid work model: RAPPs current hybrid model is designed to enable in-person connections and collaboration that is core to our culture, while also supporting flexibility for all employees. A reasonable estimate of the salary for this role, at the time of posting, is $90,000 - $110,000. This range is specific to Chicago and multiple factors are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: skill set, experience and training, certifications; etc. This is an exempt position.
