Rapid7 is looking for a motivated individual to join our Americas pre- sales organization. The Security Sales Engineer will work with the sales team in a pre-sales role to develop and position solutions involving Rapid7’s security solutions. They will work as an equal partner with our sales team in matching up customers with Rapid7s security solutions. If you are comfortable going toe-to-toe in a technical discussion with engineers and then shifting gears and having a brass-tacks business conversation with a CIO, this may be the opportunity for you.About the RoleIn this role, you will:<ul><li>Understand and articulate the value of our solutions, the Rapid7 story and answer the question, ‘Why Rapid7?’ to prospects, peers, partners, customers and the public. </li><li>Conduct in-person and remote product demonstrations, working closely with Sales Account Executives to present the technical value proposition</li><li>Engage with the customer as their technical contact, demonstrating how Rapid7 products meet the customer’s business and technical needs. </li><li>Deliver presentations and participate in conference call discussions and face-to-face meetings to architectural groups, major lines of business, and executives.</li></ul>The skills you’ll bring include:<ul><li>A real passion for learning new skills and technologies</li><li>A technical background, preferably in the Security space</li><li>In-depth knowledge of multiple Operating Systems and Security Solutions</li><li>A genuine interest in helping your customers achieve their goals </li><li>The ability to relate to and engage members of both the technical and non-technical community </li><li>Must be able to present effectively in front of large groups, both technically and non-technically oriented</li><li>The ability to be self-driven, enthusiastic and determined to succeed</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to obtain an Industry or Technical Certification (i.e. CISSP, CEH)</li><li>Ability to develop strong partnerships across the organization</li><li>We know that the best ideas and solutions come from multi-dimensional teams.
