Our goals are to constantly improve through Flawless Execution, maintaining Available Capacity, fostering Engaged Rackers, becoming Increasingly Efficient &amp; building a Rock Solid Foundation.</div><div><b> </b></div><div>We are looking for a <b>Senior Network Engineer-IV</b> who will be responsible for the planning, design, configuration, integration &amp; installation of our growing local area network (LAN) and/or global wide area network (WAN). The Network Engineer-IV will provide leadership in technical support and documentation to various departments and users with regards to the global infrastructure. The Network Engineer-IV serves as a liaison to gather network requirements from internal customers, vendors and other third-party providers.</div><h3> JOB REQUIREMENTS:</h3><ul><li><b>DESIGN:</b></li><li>Perform design requirements feasibility studies</li><li>Perform vendor recommendation / selection and coordination for hardware testing and installations</li><li>Examine theoretical and implemented designs for deficiencies and facilitate corrections</li><div><br /></div><li><b>BUILD:</b></li><li>Prepare maintenance plan documentation &amp; change management</li><li>Examine maintenance plans for accuracy</li><li>Script maintenance implementations</li><li>Work in either a lead role or assisting role during maintenance implementations</li><div><br /></div><li><b>IMPROVEMENTS:</b></li><li>Develop Standard Operating Procedure’s (SOP’s) &amp; Method of Procedure’s (MOP’s)</li><li>Develop network standardization practices</li><li>Document informational content for specialized network designs to be used for training needs</li><li>Present and/or Train on new network typologies, hardware and technologies to internal teams </li><li>Lead Root Cause Analysis sessions to achieve better networking practices</li><li>Determine baseline requirements for our network needs</li><li>Provide code analysis on existing software, IOS testing and software recommendations</li><li>Create network lab mockups for error testing</li><li>Automate repetitive Engineering tasks</li><div><br /></div><li><b>ADDITIONAL:</b></li><li>Act as 4th level escalations POC for design or other related problems</li><li>Conduct provider testing / deployment of new services</li><li>Monitor capacity and plan for bandwidth additions </li><li>Establish project priority based on business needs</li><div><br /></div></ul><h3>REQUIREMENTS:  </h3><ul><li><b>Expert</b> level experience working with <b>all</b> of the following technologies/applications: MPLS, BGP, LDP, QoS, IPv6, OSPF, vPC , STP, DWDM, EVPN, L2VPN, MPLS VPN, L3VPN, FHRP, VLAN, CDP, port-channels, IS-IS, MPLS Inter-AS, VXLAN, DNS, ACL, RADb, Flowspec, RTBH, GitHub, API’s, NFV, Hypervisors, virtual switching</li><li>Multi- vendor experience working with the following platforms: Cisco IOS, ASR 1k (IOS-XE), ASR NCS (IOS-XR), Nexus (NX-OS), Arista (EOS), Junos</li><li>Industry recognized certifications: CCNA required, CCDA, CCNP, CCDP preferred, CCIE (R&amp;S, SP or DC) highly preferred (or equivalent experience), Python PCEP</li><li>Minimum <b>7-10 years</b> recent experience with network design and build-out of LAN/WAN’s and/or large-scale network retrofits and remediation’s</li><li>Experience working in service provider, datacenter/hosting environment or large-scale enterprise networks.</li><li>Experience researching, evaluating and recommending hardware and/or software solutions supporting large scale deployments and/or remediation’s against the LAN/WAN </li><li>Experience working with 3rd party networking vendors with an understanding of the service/hardware/software portfolios they provide</li><li>Able to identify areas of process improvement and provide input and solution options to streamline work </li><li>Excellent writing, documentation and communication skills possessing the ability to communicate well with technical and non-technical peers.</li><li>Customer service-oriented attitude</li><li>Must be able to work a flexible schedule, 24x7x365 coverage, including holidays and weekends</li><li>Experience with network service monitoring systems (Arbor, Zenoss, Syslog, SolarWinds, Splunk, Kibana, WhatsUpGold, etc…)</li><li>High School diploma or equivalent required; University or College degree preferred in the Computer Science or Network Engineering fields. </li></ul><h3> HIGHLY DESIRED:</h3><ul><li>History designing, coding, implementing, and supporting Infrastructure/Operations-side automation solutions in a corporate environment.</li><li>Experience and familiarity with Python and/or Ruby</li><li>Experience with Linux system administration</li><li>Experience and familiarity with Git, Ansible, Jenkins, Splunk</li><li>Contributor to open source network management software projects </li><li>Experience with various open source OS</li><li>Experience with Lab network modeling</li><li>Experience with troubleshooting and resolution of network issues</li></ul>
