QAD, Inc. has an immediate opening for a knowledgeable individual to assist QAD in implementing its Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) software. This individual will provide training to new customers implementation projects, plus in addition, the role also requires assisting existing QAD customers, providing them with daily Foreign-Trade Zone administration requirements.
Job Description
Where You Be Working:
This is a remote position. The only requirement is that the candidate must reside in the United States or a U.S. territory.
What You Will Be Doing:
You will be working and providing assistance in the following 2 areas
1. Administering foreign-trade zones existing for QAD clients.
Activities will include conducting daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly processes required to administer a compliant and efficient Foreign- Trade Zone. The duties will include the following:
- Prepare and file (submit) all daily FTZ admissions (e-214).
- Prepare weekly estimates and entries to CBP (3461 & 7501)
- Ensure all weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual FTZ forms and reports necessary for FTZ operations are submitted and reviewed for accuracy.
- Maintain proper record keeping required for management of the FTZ.
- Operate the FTZ inventory control and recordkeeping system.
- Interact with Customs and Border Protection if necessary
- Routinely update and report to direct management concerning activities related to the Foreign-Trade Zone.
- Process and verify FTZ-related data.
- Validate FTZ data against actual documentation as needed to ensure the accuracy of integration and information.
- Provide compliance-related services related to customers for ongoing Foreign-Trade Zone activities.
2. Onboarding new customer implementation projects
- You will work directly with our customers compliance and technical teams to facilitate training needs. You will also work closely with the customers FTZ consultant, QADs team of project managers, and technical engineers to assist and support you during the implementation process.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience implementing or operating FTZs
- First-hand understanding of foreign-trade zone operations, and related processes
- Ability to work on multiple projects at once and deliver on-time results
- Have a working knowledge of logistics activities including import activities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The individual should be self motivated and be capable of working as part of a team, or alone
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Understanding of XML file structure and ability to validate data format
- Understanding of flat-files and ability to validate data format
- Understanding of electronic communication methods
- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server is a plus
- Understanding of programming languages and methodologies is a plus
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience implementing FTZ systems preferred but not mandatory
- Experience operating FTZ systems
- Experience with Import and Export systems, compliance systems·
- Experience creating and executing test cases and test scripts
- Experience implementing, data-mapping, integrating is a plus

COMPENSATION PACKAGE:
- Base pay range: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 USD Annual (12 Months)
- Placement within our pay range will vary based on knowledge, skills, experience, and market location variations as well as internal peer equity
- This position is also eligible for an annual company performance bonus
