Pure Storage is looking to hire a Global Systems Integrator (GSI) Senior Account Executive for Kyndryl. The role is a senior level Business Development and Sales Leadership role, based in the New York area of the US.

SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE...

The role will be working at the forefront of Pure’s global sales capability in a dynamic and demanding team. The GSI team business is a key growth engine for Pure, and this role will work in partnership with Pure End User Account Teams to identify and drive business to close. The primary responsibilities will be to execute the account strategy set by the Global Account Director so that they develop a qualified pipeline and drive deals to close. The Senior Account Executive will be responsible for creating detailed closure plans while being responsible for field (account) stakeholder management and contributing to individual account plans. The successful candidate should ideally have existing relationships within Kyndryl, broad IT industry and commercial negotiation experience, and an all-round high degree of business acumen.

In this role you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Leadership of Pure’s North American relationship with Kyndryl for strategic sales partnering and field execution. Success will be measured in terms of revenue, pipeline creation and downstream sales/partner/support.
  • Ability to drive account/close plans and stakeholder management.
  • Effective time management.
  • Establish yourself as the ‘go-to’ resource for all Kyndryl in North America customer facing engagements and business development opportunities.
  • Lead the joint demand generation activities with Kyndryl and Pure.
  • Being a relationship builder by developing relationships at the Executive Account Teams, Pre-Sales, Delivery, and Sales decision maker level. Be well known and
    respected by this community and have a strong understanding of the client’s business fundamentals and industry drivers.
  • Focus on creating a value proposition and supporting business/use cases that are directly linked to an end client’s business model and challenges.
  • Build global cross functional relationships that drive a seamless technology and market execution plan.
  • Build and lead a NAM team while aligning globally for sales and joint solutions with the Pure Global Account Director.
  • Develop strategies that allow Pure to capitalize on the emerging trends, strategic direction, which aligns with Kyndryl’s GTM strategy for mutual customers.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...

  •  +12 years of Direct and/or Indirect Sales experience.
  • Experience as a sales leader who is currently selling into the GSI’s or currently in a sales role within a GSI.
  • Experience with Global Systems Integrators value propositions of “sell to, sell with, sell through” relationships at C-Level, business unit level, sales, technical leadership and beyond with Kyndryl.
  • Direct or Indirect experience working with Hyperscaler or cloud companies including marketplace transactions, cloud migration and understanding of Enterprise Discount Program (EDP) and Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment (MACC) contractual mechanisms.
  • Ability to balance strategy, sales and a roll-up your sleeves and get it done attitude.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of Pure’s commercial frameworks and product offerings, integrations and solutions to articulate a Pure value proposition.
  • Motivated team player with expertise working in a fast paced, cross-functional manner.
  • Ability to establish field-facing and product/BU senior level relationships.
  • Proven track record on delivering results and getting things done.
  • Strong business acumen, outstanding communication skills and capability to effectively build relationships with executive leaders in the targeted ecosystem.
  • Ability to deliver a regular forecast and Quarterly Business Review (QBR) cadence, working closely with Finance and Sales operations.
  • Effective collaboration with multiple cross-functional stakeholders, including sales, alliances, product business units, marketing, legal, operations and other sales stakeholders.
  • Availability to travel domestically and internationally, as required.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus.

In this role, youll:

  • Evangelize our radically simple, all-flash enterprise storage technology and data solutions, ensuring customers fully grasp Pure’s total value proposition
  • Build and invest in relationships with customers to establish Pure’s value, continually driving the highest customer satisfaction ratings in the industry
  • Lead pursuit teams and develop account plans to make sure all internal resources are engaged to execute and win new Pure Customers 
  • Drive and manage a healthy and robust pipeline of sales activity to assure quarterly and annual quotas are met or exceeded

  • Avid hunter with proven prospecting skills, consistently opening doors to new customers and navigating seamlessly between the boardroom and the data center while passionately positioning the advantages of a Pure Storage solution
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including written and oral communication, able to build relationships easily and deepen them over time
  • Ability to assess, plan, and actively manage a territory to achieve maximum revenue and efficiency
  • Expertise leading a complex sales process with multiple stakeholders, while fostering teamwork and shared ownership internally and with Partners
  • Consistent track record of exceeding quota and driving reference able business.
  • Passionate about post-sales customer success
  • 5 + years of outside sales with a focus on new logo acquisition or business development; consistently delivering $5-$10M per year in revenues ## LI-REMOTE

 

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations. 

This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.

The annual base salary range is:
$194,000$311,500 USD
