Were growing the team to meet the demand. 🌟 About the role Were looking for a Total Rewards Manager who will own the strategy, design, and administration of Pulleys compensation &amp; benefits programs. As our first dedicated comp &amp; benefits expert, youll build scalable systems that attract top talent, reward performance, and support our team as we scale. At Pulley, weve built a starting foundation with pay bands and compensation frameworks, but we need a subject matter expert to take us to the next level. Youll audit and refine our current programs, design new incentive structures (bonuses, equity refreshers), and lead our benefits strategy as we evolve beyond our PEO provider. This is a high-impact role where youll partner directly with leadership to shape how we compensate and care for our team. 🛠 What you’ll do <ul> <li>Own Pulleys compensation philosophy and strategy—audit and refine pay bands, compa-ratios, and equity structures to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity</li> <li>Lead annual compensation cycles including merit increases, promotions, and equity grants; partner with Finance on budget forecasting</li> <li>Design and implement new compensation programs: bonus structures, equity refresh programs, profit sharing, and sales comp plans</li> <li>Conduct market benchmarking and provide comp guidance for offers, promotions, and internal mobility</li> <li>Own benefits strategy and lead the transition from PEO to direct benefits administration—evaluate vendors, design competitive packages, manage open enrollment</li> <li>Build scalable processes, tools, and documentation; create dashboards to track compensation metrics and benefits utilization</li> <li>Partner with People Ops and leadership to assist managers with compensation decisions and ensure compliance with regulations</li> <li>Draft and own internal communications and policies for all compensation and benefits programs including policy documentation, employee guides, FAQ resources, and change management communications</li> </ul> 🙌 What you bring: Must-Haves <ul> <li>5-7+ years of experience in compensation and benefits, ideally in high-growth tech startups or fast-paced environments</li> <li>Deep expertise in compensation design including pay structures, equity programs, and incentive plans</li> <li>Strong understanding of benefits administration, vendor management, and compliance</li> <li>Experience conducting market analyses, benchmarking studies, and using compensation survey data</li> <li>Proven track record of building compensation and benefits programs from the ground up or scaling them significantly</li> <li>Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and compensation tools</li> <li>Strong business acumen and ability to translate data into strategic recommendations</li> <li>Exceptional communication skills and ability to explain complex comp topics simply</li> <li>Experience partnering with Finance, leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders</li> </ul> Nice to Have <ul> <li>CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) or other relevant certifications</li> <li>Experience transitioning from PEO to direct benefits administration</li> <li>Familiarity with HRIS systems (Rippling, Deel, BambooHR, etc.)</li> <li>Experience with remote/distributed workforce compensation strategies</li> <li>Knowledge of international compensation and benefits practices, including managing or transitioning from an EOR</li> <li>Background in equity compensation and cap table management</li> <li>Experience at a high growth SaaS startup</li> </ul> ✨ Why work at Pulley? <ul> <li>Weve moved beyond early-stage uncertainty - Our product has traction and were building on a solid foundation, but were still early enough in our journey where your work will directly shape the companys trajectory as we scale.</li> <li>Make it easier for anyone to start a company - Founders turn bold ideas into reality - building things that might not exist otherwise.
