About this Position As a Full Stack AI Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in building intelligent, agentic features within Proscia’s digital pathology platform. You will design, build, and deploy AI-powered solutions that integrate seamlessly into clinical and research workflows to make a real-world impact on patient care. What You’ll Do Working at a startup like Proscia means wearing many hats, but when you come to work you can expect to focus on the following: <ul> <li>Architect and build agentic AI systems that integrate LLMs and digital pathology workflows.</li> <li>Lead end-to-end development, from LLM-based models and MCP servers, to user-facing interfaces.</li> <li>Collaborate closely with AI product managers, digital pathology experts, and customers to build solutions that deliver value to both our life sciences and clinical users.</li> <li>Build scalable, cloud-based solutions using AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.</li> <li>Design, test, and maintain safe, validated, and compliant AI solutions for regulated environments.</li> <li>Deliver high-quality, production-ready features at startup speed, embodying our “Challenge the Status Quo” value.</li> <li>Contribute to the evolution of the AI codebase, architecture, and technical standards.</li> <li>Support cross-functional teams by documenting and communicating designs, pipelines, and evaluation results to ensure reproducibility and transparency.</li> <li>Embrace AI as a default tool in problem-solving and development workflows, staying current with emerging frameworks. </li> </ul> What We’re Seeking We’re looking for people who are smart, nice, &amp; get stuff done. Proscia is a high-growth company, and we want entrepreneurial doers that thrive in a challenging environment, that are ready to build the plane while flying it. Proscias next Full Stack AI Software Engineer will have: <ul> <li>3+ years of experience developing full stack AI or ML-powered products.</li> <li>Deep knowledge of LLMs, agents, and generative AI frameworks, with proven ability to deploy them in production.</li> <li>Expert-level proficiency in Python.</li> <li>Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs, and using container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.</li> <li>Proven experience shipping production-grade AI applications with an understanding of scalability, maintainability, and compliance requirements.</li> <li>Strong grasp of cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS services.</li> <li>Fluency with version control systems (e.g. Git) in collaborative development environments.</li> <li>Passion for translating biomedical or clinical research into real-world, patient-impacting products.</li> <li>Real experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, or equivalent in your daily workflows. </li> </ul> Nice to Have <ul> <li>Experience working with medical or histology image data.</li> <li>Background in developing regulated medical software (e.g. FDA, CE-marked products).</li> <li>MS or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Biomedical Informatics, or related fields. </li> </ul> Beyond Just Work As a company in healthcare, we want our people to be happy and healthy, in and out of the office.
