We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our engineering team to help us build Prezi, a full-cycle presentation platform used by millions of people all over the world. Work with us to enable our users to create visually stunning presentations with the best possible visual editing experience.

You will be part of the team developing the Editor for Prezi Present, one of Prezis three main applications (Prezi Present, Prezi Design, and Prezi Video).

The Prezi Present Editor is built on a modular, plugin-based architecture written in TypeScript. Your role will involve maintaining and extending features of both the application and the plugin framework.

As a Software Engineer, you will:

Collaborate closely with the teams Product Manager, User Experience Designer, and Graphics Designer to prioritize maintenance tasks and develop new features that improve user workflows
Leverage generative AI solutions to help users produce better presentations in a shorter timeframe
Write high-quality code for a complex codebase, ensuring smooth operations even under limited hardware or poor network conditions.
Focus on delivering an optimized user experience for presenters and audiences.
Make a significant impact by helping millions of people create and deliver compelling stories.

We’re looking for someone who has:

Have a B.Sc. in Computer Science or related studies or equivalent working experience
2+ years experience of software development experience for Mid level roles. 5+ years for Senior roles
Proficiency in a statically typed language (e.g. TypeScript, C++, C#, Java).
A self-driven mindset with a strong focus on quality and a structured way of working.
A strong product mindset.
Excellent communication skills in English (to work with technical and non-technical team members).
Self-sufficiency and a high sense of ownership over their work.

Bonus points if you have:

Prompt engineering experience and/or have worked with generative AI models
A Master’s degree, further education or experience in engineering, computer science or another technical related field
Experience working in web application development.
Experience developing systems where concurrency, memory, and performance are important.
