As our Finance Systems & Operations Specialist (f/m/d) you’ll play a key role in building the financial backbone that enables plancraft’s fast growth. By owning day-to-day finance workflows and identifying automation opportunities, you’ll reduce friction, increase transparency, and help the business scale with confidence.
You’ll work closely with our VP Business Operations and Senior Finance Manager, and take ownership from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own day-to-day finance operations, pre-accounting & process documentation, including invoice management, expense workflows, and reconciliations.
- Ensure operational finance workflows run smoothly & are documented with no gaps (invoices, expenses, data handovers).
- Manage and optimize our finance tech stack (Candis, Stripe, DATEV, Pathway, etc.)—ensuring data accuracy, clean integrations, and scalable usage.
- Contribute to automation projects - identify and implement process or tooling improvements.
- Act as the first line of execution for our finance department - supporting reporting, spend monitoring, and financial data workflows.
- Serve as go-to person for questions related to finance ops.
- Collaborate with our external accounting & tax advisors to ensure smooth closings and correct documentation.
- Identify automation opportunities in recurring financial processes and implement improvements.
- Ensure data integrity across all finance tools, including regular reconciliations and checks.
- Support cross-functional teams (e.g., Customer Success, Sales, Ops) with financial process questions or needs.
Salary: The salary for this position ranges between €55,000 and €69,000 per year, depending on experience.
Must haves:
- 1-3+ years of experience in finance operations, accounting support, or related roles in a startup or SaaS environment.
- Tech-savvy and hands-on experience in working with and implementing finance tools like LucaNet, DATEV, Stripe, Candis, Pleo, Moss, etc.
- Very strong Excel / Sheets skills and a mindset for process optimization and automation.
- High attention to detail, structured approach, and a strong sense of ownership.
- English on minimum C1 level
- Experience in working with or maintaining integrations between tools (e.g., DATEV <> Stripe <> Candis).
- Exposure to multi-entity or international business environments.
- Interest in SaaS metrics or financial data modeling.
- German language skills are a plus
