We expect the transaction to close at the end of 2025. With Bridgefield’s support and building on our 40+ year legacy of growth and innovation in emergency medical technology, the Emergency Care business will continue passionately pursuing our mission of saving lives, lowering the cost of healthcare, and advancing the science of resuscitation while serving the public access AED, EMS, military, and hospital market segments.</h2><h2></h2><h2>The Global Trade Compliance Officer is responsible for overseeing the implementation of a comprehensive trade compliance framework, ensuring adherence to Free Trade Agreements, customs regulations, and export controls. The role leads global customs classification projects, facilitates smooth international trade, manages daily customs and trade compliance operations, manages risks, and resolving compliance issues swiftly. The role plans continuous improvement initiatives for business and compliance processes, manages talent across the team, leverages Lean principles, implements trade compliance policies and roadmaps, keeping Philips compliant and competitive globally. The role prepares trade compliance assessments, mentors the global trade compliance community within Philips, oversees budgets, schedules, and performance requirements, prioritizes a safe work environment, and acts as a subject matter expert on trade compliance, providing guidance to various business units.</h2><h2></h2><h2></h2><h2><br /><b><span>Your role:</span></b></h2><ul><li><h2><span>Manages the development and implementation of a comprehensive trade compliance framework, encompassing Free Trade Agreements, customs compliance procedures, and export control regulations, ensuring proper application, adherence, and archiving of these frameworks.</span></h2></li><li><h2><span>Leads global customs classification projects, ensuring accurate and consistent classification of goods across all regions to facilitate smooth international trade operations.</span></h2></li><li><h2><span>Oversees daily customs and trade compliance operations, ensuring all activities comply with relevant regulations and internal policies, managing risk and resolving compliance issues promptly.</span></h2></li><li><h2><span>Manages talent across the team, while driving employee selection, performance management, compensation management, career development, and ensuring effective operational management.</span></h2></li><li><h2><span>Plans and executes continuous improvement initiatives related to business and compliance processes, leveraging Lean Leadership principles to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.</span></h2></li><li><h2><span>Develops and executes trade compliance policies and roadmaps based on the latest regulatory developments, ensuring Philips remains compliant and competitive in the global market.</span></h2></li><li><h2><span>Prepares and leads trade compliance assessments and audits, including follow-up actions, ensuring all findings are addressed and compliance standards are maintained.</span></h2></li><li><h2><span>Mentors and coaches, the global trade compliance community within Philips, developing capabilities and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.</span></h2></li><li><h2><span>Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements, driving operational excellence through effective management and continuous improvement of trade compliance processes.</span></h2></li><li><h2><span>Creates a working environment that continuously improves the health and safety of workers, including the identification and management of occupational risks, provision of training, and review of performance.</span></h2></li><li><h2><span>Acts as a subject matter expert on trade compliance, providing guidance and support to various business units and ensuring compliance with complex international trade regulations.</span></h2></li><li><h2><span>Focuses on a 2-5 year horizon, planning and preparing for future trade compliance challenges and opportunities to align with Philips long-term strategic goals.</span></h2></li></ul><h2><br /><br /><b><span>Youre the right fit if:</span></b></h2><ul><li><h2>You have a Bachelors / Masters Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Customs Administration or equivalent.</h2></li><li><h2>Minimum 5 years of experience facilitating the import/export of products with US customs and partnering government agencies</h2></li><li><h2>Your skills include being a highly intellectual problem solver, self-motivated, and collaborative team player.</h2></li><li><h2>Certifications and/or experience in the shipment of dangerous goods using IATA, IMDG, and 49 CFR, preferred.</h2></li><li><h2>Customhouse Broker (CHB) License (aka Licensed Customs Broker [LCB]). <b><u>Preferred.</u></b></h2></li><li><h2>Minimum of 5 years with direct USHTS classification experience with medical devices, systems, spare parts and general use products. <b><u>Preferred.</u></b></h2></li><li><h2>Advanced knowledge of AD/CVD, PGA’s and USHTS use &amp; application. <b><u>Preferred.</u></b></h2></li></ul><h2></h2><h2><b><span>How we work together</span></b><br />We believe that we are better together than apart.
