You’ll design the touchpoints and experiences that help fans at each step of their fan journey, drawing them deeper into fan communities, create demand to become paying fans, and unlock sustainable revenue over time. Your work will directly influence how creators grow sustainable businesses and how fans feel more connected and invested.You’ll be embedded in the Fan Activation team, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, and Research to bring clarity to ambiguous opportunities, design high-impact creator and fan experiences, and ensure they launch with polish and purpose.In this role, you will:<ul><li>Lead design for core activation experiences that deepen creator–fan relationships and drive monetization.</li><li>Translate broad, multi-touchpoint journeys into clear, actionable product flows and strategies.</li><li>Identify and design tools that help creators showcase their work in ways that inspire fan engagement and conversion.</li><li>Help activate new fans exploring their interests on Patreon through features that foster deeper connections between them and the creators they discover.</li><li>Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Research to scope, iterate, and deliver high-quality, user-centered solutions.</li><li>Use insights from research, data, and market analysis to inform long-term design direction and validate solutions.</li><li>Maintain a high bar for craft in visual and interaction design across membership experiences.</li></ul>About You<ul><li>7+ years of product design experience, with a focus on consumer-facing digital products.</li><li>Proven track record designing for complex, multi-step user journeys that drive retention, engagement, or monetization.</li><li>Strong visual and interaction design skills, with an eye for clarity, simplicity, and detail.</li><li>Comfortable navigating ambiguity and converging toward clarity through exploration and iteration.</li><li>Skilled collaborator who builds trust and alignment across disciplines.</li><li>Portfolio demonstrating shipped, high-impact work with measurable results.</li></ul><ul><li>[Nice to have] Experience in digital media, subscriptions, community platforms, or e-commerce.</li><li>[Nice to have] Familiarity with fan engagement or membership-based product experiences.</li></ul>About PatreonPatreon powers creators to do what they love and get paid by the people who love what they do.
