Our work enables creators to seamlessly grow and monetize their global audience over a multitude of channels. The teams work covers interesting product and technical challenges with both breadth and depth.About the Role<ul><li>Youll help scale and expand capabilities of Patreons payment platform that helps creators get paid effectively and on time, every time.</li><li>Contribute to the development and design of the Payments platform and tools to support the payment processing at Patreon.</li><li>Advocate for best patterns and practices in the areas of system design, performance, observability and testing.</li><li>Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to build new functionality, while maintaining a delightful user experience, motivated by passion for our shared mission.</li><li>Work with frontend frameworks and technologies including React, Typescript, and Next.js.</li><li>Work with Java, Python, Flask, Spring Boot, MySQL, and AWS on the backend, introducing other technologies when it makes sense.</li></ul>About You<ul><li>3-5+ years of experience in software development</li><li>Strong experience with the frontend framework and technologies including React, Typescript, and <a target="_blank" href="http://next.js">Next.js</a></li><li>Strong experience with Python or a similar language and SQL</li><li>Solid communication skills with cross-functional team members and mentoring junior engineers</li><li>A track record of building systems with attention to detail, high reliability, and high throughput</li><li>Experience building products in the payments domain is a plus, but not a strict requirement for this role</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or the equivalent</li></ul>About PatreonPatreon powers creators to do what they love and get paid by the people who love what they do.
