We’re applying our work to drug development, clinical diagnosis, and global health.</p> <h2>What You’ll Do</h2> <p>The day-to-day responsibilities for the Director of Translational Research, Oncology at PathAI include:</p> <ul> <li>Oversee execution of multiple translational research projects/contracts with key clients to meet company goals and strengthen partner relationships</li> <li>Oversee execution of multiple programs to drive company-wide scientific and business strategy aimed at biomarker discovery and translational research</li> <li>Work closely with collaborators in biomarker discovery programs to identify and confirm predictive digital pathology biomarkers for clinical development and companion diagnostic programs</li> <li>Develop client relationships and pursue new opportunities to drive business growth</li> <li>Responsible for professional development of team of PhD level translational scientists aimed at creating a culture of scientific collaboration and learning</li> <li>Responsible for hiring and training activities of translational scientists</li> <li>Collaborate and liaise across internal stakeholders including the business development, product, and machine learning teams, providing hypotheses for novel biological insights and strategy roadmaps for project completion.</li> </ul> <h2>What You Bring</h2> <ul> <li>Advanced degree in life sciences related disciplines required, PhD preferred</li> <li>At least 7 years of work experience in biomarker discovery and translational research</li> <li>Experience working in clinical development and companion diagnostics programs is preferred</li> <li>Experience building, leading and managing teams</li> <li>Strong user of technology with a solid basis in quantitative analysis and data-driven decision making</li> <li>Intellectual curiosity and the ability to learn quickly in a complex space</li> <li>Excellent communication skills</li> <li>Publications of research in related fields </li> </ul> <h2>We Want To Hear From You</h2> <p>At PathAI, we are looking for individuals who are team players, are willing to do the work no matter how big or small it may be, and who are passionate about everything they do. The summary below indicates if an employee in this position is eligible for annual bonus, overtime pay and equity awards.
