Please submit your CV in English   <h1>About the role:</h1> As a Senior Software Engineer in the K product team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the user-facing components of our platform. You will contribute to building and maintaining a virtual assistant system for biomedical researchers, powered by AI Engineering, to explore public biology knowledge and proprietary Owkin data—ultimately accelerating drug discovery. You will lead the frontend technical vision and architecture while contributing across the stack (APIs, infrastructure, deployment) when needed. You will work closely with Product Managers and Designers to define user workflows, and you’ll be deeply involved in turning complex domain-specific requirements into usable, high-impact features. We are looking for an engineer with strong technical leadership experience, capable of guiding architectural decisions, driving engineering excellence, and owning the delivery of high-quality software in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. This role also requires an ability to communicate clearly and effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, including experts in machine learning, biomedical sciences, and marketing.     <h1>In particular, you will:</h1> <ul> <li>Lead the frontend architecture, development, and technical direction of our virtual assistant system, ensuring performance, maintainability, and user experience</li> <li>Collaborate with product managers and designers to design and deliver seamless user workflows around the assistant</li> <li>Communicate with diverse stakeholders across product, biomedical science, machine learning, and marketing to understand needs and shape solutions</li> <li>Work across the stack to build APIs, contribute to backend services, and support infrastructure and deployment</li> <li>Take ownership of frontend quality, reusability, and long-term scalability</li> <li>Implement data visualization components, including omics (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics) and other biomedical data</li> <li>Improve CI/CD pipelines, observability, and development workflows</li> <li>Share knowledge and mentor engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and architectural decisions</li> </ul>     <h1>About you</h1> We’re looking for someone with a strong engineering mindset, technical depth in modern frontend development, and a proven ability to lead technical initiatives. You operate with autonomy, collaborate across disciplines, and enjoy building usable systems in complex environments. You have a strong bias towards action and prototyping.
