Backed by eight-figure contracts across the Department of Defense, we are strengthening national security by iterating closely with end users engaged in tactical operations.</p> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p>We are looking for perception experts to join our team to advance the state of off-road autonomy.</p> <p><em>Experienced, well-qualified remote candidates able to work during Pacific Time Zone business hours will be considered.</em></p> <h4><strong>In this role, you will:</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Design, prototype, and deploy perception/deep learning algorithms (e.g., object detection and tracking, surface reconstruction, visual odometry) that run real-time on our autonomous vehicles.</li> <li>Identify, implement, and respond to meaningful metrics that affect vehicle behavior.</li> <li>Support experimentation and integration of the perception stack with new sensors and configurations (C++).</li> <li>Collaborate closely with experts across disciplines to work across the entire stack to improve the reliability and performance of the system.</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Qualifications</strong></h4> <ul> <li>BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or similar and 2+ years of experience (industry or academia) implementing perception algorithms <ul> <li>Preferred: top-tier publications in CV and Robotics conferences and/or past experience working with lidars and cameras</li> </ul> </li> <li>Expert in ROS 2 or other similar robotics middleware.</li> <li>Strong programming (C++ or Python) skills and experience in a deep learning framework such as Pytorch, JAX, Tensorflow, etc.</li> <li>You excel in a small-team atmosphere, taking ownership of problems and working with your colleagues to solve problems across disciplines.<span> </span></li> <li>Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Security Clearance.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Benefits</strong></h3> <h4>Overland AI believes in creating a work environment that you look forward to embracing every day.<span> </span><strong><br /></strong></h4> <ul> <li>The salary range for this position is $120K to $300K annually</li> <li>Equity compensation</li> <li>Best-in-class healthcare, dental and vision plans.<span> </span></li> <li>Unlimited PTO</li> <li>401k with company match</li> <li>Parental leave</li> </ul>
