This team is responsible for the internal UI platform powering all Onebrief interfaces, including our shared design system, component libraries, and core and common functionality. You will work closely with Product, Design, and other Engineering teams to ensure the consistency, reliability, and scalability of the user interface experience across the application. Foster a healthy, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.</p></li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2><h3><strong>Leadership &amp; Management Experience:</strong></h3><ul><li><p>3+ years managing engineers, including hiring, performance management, and career growth</p></li><li><p>Proven experience coaching engineers and building healthy team dynamics</p></li><li><p>History of leading cross-functional initiatives with Product and Design</p></li></ul><h3><strong>Technical Expertise:</strong></h3><ul><li><p>5+ years of frontend engineering experience, ideally in modern JavaScript frameworks (React preferred)</p></li><li><p>Strong understanding of shared UI systems (design systems, component libraries) and DX tooling</p></li><li><p>Experience navigating release processes, breaking changes, and long-term migration plans</p></li></ul><h3><strong>Platform &amp; Delivery Focus:</strong></h3><ul><li><p>Track record of improving developer experience through tooling, documentation, and performance enhancements</p></li><li><p>Experience owning long-lived infrastructure that supports multiple product teams</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with observability, automated testing, and frontend CI/CD best practices</p></li></ul><h3><strong>Communication &amp; Collaboration:</strong></h3><ul><li><p>Clear, thoughtful communicator who writes well and aligns teams asynchronously</p></li><li><p>Comfortable navigating ambiguity and surfacing tradeoffs in architectural decisions</p></li><li><p>Brings a collaborative, low-ego leadership style focused on building trust and shared clarity</p></li></ul><h3><strong>Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):</strong></h3><ul><li><p>Experience with platform teams or shared UI infrastructure</p></li><li><p>Background in developer tools or performance-focused engineering</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with military, govtech, or other high-trust or regulated environments</p></li></ul>
