THE JOB / Digital Strategy Director  DIGITAL STRATEGY / Responsible for developing and executing digital &amp; social media recommendations for our clients.  ***Our headquarters are in Stamford, CT, but the location of this position can be flexible. Priority will be given to candidates open to hybrid work (3 days a week in the office) in one of our office locations—Stamford, CT, New York, NY, Chicago, IL, Charlotte, NC, or Atlanta, GA. We will also consider a remote-based working arrangement for qualified candidates. In this role, you will lead the development &amp; execution of digital &amp; social programs for our impressive roster of clients. You will evaluate brand objectives through the lens of digital &amp; social media – determining the best platforms, partnerships, and content solutions to achieve these goals and amplify their sponsorships. You will work collaboratively with internal strategists &amp; creatives to brainstorm ways to amplify brand sponsorships on social – followed by leading all execution &amp; oversight of ongoing campaign measurement.       You will be relied upon as a digital authority at the agency, identifying the trends and strategies that reach specific fanbases. To succeed, you will need equal parts creative and critical thinking, a deep understanding of digital and social measurement, and knowledge of leveraging property and ambassador assets through social media.  THE WORK YOU’LL DO  <ul> <li>Craft savvy recommendations and implement digital campaigns – including (but not limited to) social media, media partnerships, paid media, and digital measurement strategies </li> <li>Collaborate with internal Octagon departments and/or with client agency partners to deliver asset recommendations, digital valuations, content strategy, and IP integration opportunities that enhance client investments </li> <li>Confidently pitch concepts to clients &amp; partners and develop creative content ideas that ladder up to client objectives </li> <li>Lead end-to-end execution for digital programs </li> <li>Measure campaigns and deliver inventive insights to clients on what is working and what can be optimized </li> <li>Simultaneously lead multiple projects relying on strong project management and organizational skills </li> <li>Assist with digital RFPs and growth opportunities as needed </li> </ul> The bigger team you’ll join  Recognized as one of the <a href="https://www.octagon.com/news/octagon-selected-to-sports-business-journals-2023-best-places-to-work-in-sports/">“Best Places to Work in Sports”</a>, Octagon is the global sports, entertainment, and experiential marketing arm of the Interpublic Group.  We take pride in being Playmakers – finding insightful, bold ways to create play in our work, our lives, and in the world. Are you a Playmaker?  WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR  <ul> <li>Minimum of 6+ years experience in digital/social media strategy, media or sports agency experience is a plus </li> <li>Expertise in developing &amp; executing digital campaigns that span social media (paid &amp; organic) and media partnerships </li> <li>Strong experience in measuring &amp; showcasing the impact of digital &amp; social programs – both through social measurement tools (ex: Infegy, HookIt, CreatorIQ), as well as the ability to synthesize Excel data to actionable recommendations </li> <li>You’re not only the architect for digital campaigns, but you’re the builder – you have led &amp; seen programs through in a hands-on capacity </li> <li>You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong attention to detail. You understand the importance of accuracy, as much of the work is consumer and client facing </li> <li>You possess the leadership skills to coach junior team members on social and digital work outputs </li> <li>You’re ahead of what’s trending in social &amp; digital content – what’s resonating with fans, what platforms are growing, what content matters to fans – and a passion for/expertise in sports, entertainment, music and/or celebrity &amp; lifestyle culture </li> <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment &amp; mode switch between different projects and keep things organized &amp; on track </li> </ul> The base range for this position is $80,000 – 95,000.
