As a key member of our team, you’ll design and shape the architectures that connect the world’s most powerful AI clusters.As an HPC Networking Product Architect at NVIDIA, you’ll be the linchpin in transforming next-generation networking concepts into robust, scalable architectures, balancing technical feasibility with customer needs and market demands. You’ll be responsible for crafting, validating, and driving forward NVIDIA’s networking-centric products and solutions - including SpectrumX Ethernet, InfiniBand, NVLink Switch fabrics, and DPU-based architectures - from conception through their lifecycle. Working at NVIDIA is all about efficiency and multiplying efforts; being a Product Architect is at the nexus of this ethos!What you’ll be doing:<ul><li>Architect the next generation of datacenter-scale networking infrastructure, leveraging SpectrumX, InfiniBand, NVLink Switches, and other sophisticated interconnect technologies.</li><li>Design network and hardware-focused architectures that unlock the full potential of NVIDIA GPUs, DPUs, compute and storage servers through high-bandwidth, low-latency fabrics.</li><li>Stay at the forefront of networking trends: software defined networking (SDN), programmable fabrics, congestion control, and datacenter interconnects.</li><li>Define detailed product architectures, including performance, scalability, interoperability, datacenter deployment requirements. and lead prototyping, benchmarking, and validation of networking-focused designs at scale, diagnosing bottlenecks and driving innovations in performance.</li><li>Collaborate with internal hardware, software, security, and systems teams to ensure smooth integration of networking, processing, and storage systems.</li><li>Partner with customers and ecosystem partners to co-innovate, deliver proof-of-concepts (POCs) and MVPs that showcase NVIDIA networking leadership, and contribute to developer and customer enablement by producing educational materials and advocating networking-first designs in partner forums and communities.</li><li>Create technical collateral including whitepapers, reference architectures, and developer documentation to guide adoption and best practices.</li></ul>What we need to see:<ul><li>12+ years of experience architecting datacenter-scale HPC or networking infrastructure as a Principal Architect, Solutions Architect, Principal Engineer, or equivalent.</li><li>Bachelors or Maters degree in Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).</li><li>Deep expertise in networking technologies including high-performance Ethernet (SpectrumX), InfiniBand, NVLink Switches/Fabrics, and related interconnects.</li><li>Strong background in datacenter-scale network design: topologies, routing, congestion management, and fabric scalability.</li><li>Experience working with benchmarking tools and performance analysis for large-scale HPC/AI networking deployments.</li><li>Understanding of DPU (or similar SmartNIC) architectures and their role in software defined networking (SDN), security enforcement, and storage acceleration.</li><li>Deep understanding of network isolation using VLAN, VxLAN, and EVPN overlays through SDN.</li><li>Familiarity with Kubernetes networking, including CNI, Multus, and workload isolation at scale.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill highly technical networking concepts into actionable business and product insights.</li></ul>Ways to stand out from the crowd:<ul><li>Hands-on experience designing and deploying large-scale multi-tenant enterprise networking fabrics for AI/HPC workloads.</li><li>Expertise in software-defined networking and programmable fabrics, with contributions to open standards or open-source projects.</li><li>integrating K8s, Multus, and sophisticated CNI plugins in high-performance environments.</li><li>Published work, patents, or advanced certifications in networking or HPC systems.</li></ul>NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers.
