What you will do
As an Engineering Manager, you will lead and manage multiple technology teams, ensuring successful delivery of strategic projects aligned with business growth objectives. You will drive technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement across your team. You will play a critical role in mentoring leaders, shaping technology strategy, and fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance. You will help lead design for complex software projects including architecture, technical design and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Direct multiple technology teams, ensuring clear alignment with strategic objectives and business outcomes.
- Technology Leadership: Work with engineering leads to design complex software system. Implementing best practices in architecture and cloud computing.
- Team Development: Foster professional growth, mentor team leaders, and cultivate future technology leadership within NRC Health.
- Strategy Execution: Translate strategic objectives into actionable technology initiatives, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
- Innovation: Champion of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging experimentation and adoption of emerging technologies.
- Collaboration: Build strong cross-functional partnerships with product management, engineering, and business stakeholders to achieve alignment and shared goals.
- Performance Management: Oversee team performance, set clear goals, manage expectations, and provide ongoing feedback to drive excellence.
- Resource Management: Effectively manage resources, budgeting, and capacity planning to meet organizational objectives.
What you need
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT, Engineering, or a related field with outstanding academics, or equivalent experience and the demonstrated ability to learn
- 7+ years’ experience working on a professional development team
- 3+ years’ experience in a management role overseeing multiple teams
- Demonstrated experience aligning technology initiatives with strategic business objectives.
- Experience using and encouraging use of AI coding tools (i.e. Github Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, etc.)
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies and project management principles.
- Proven ability in talent development, mentoring, and team building.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, including experience working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Experience driving innovation and managing change within technology environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with experience making data-driven decisions.
- Experience with software design including architecture and cloud computing.
- Strong experience with AWS technologies and services
Compensation
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $156,000-$210,600 exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired at NRC Health, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package.
