With more than 130 years of financial experience and over 22,000 partners, we serve the world’s most sophisticated clients using leading technology and exceptional service.The key responsibilities of the role include:<ul><li>Demonstrate control assessment expertise (stemming from internal audit/control testing/issue validation experience) </li><li>Accurately draft, design and execute a quality control/validation testing plan. </li><li>Ensure high quality workpaper standards - ensure quality control/validation documentation is clear, concise, supports the testing reviews performed, and explains decisions made including judgement applied</li><li>Identify and analyze risks, plan and prioritize validation tasks for on-time delivery, conduct interviews, observe operations, document and analyze processes and controls</li><li>Exercise responsibility over the execution of assigned regulatory validation projects and/or deliverables to ensure that work is performed prompt and accurately</li><li>Develop and show an understanding of the business risks, controls, and processes, along with an understanding of relevant laws, regulatory rules and knowledge of the impact of systems within areas reviewed</li><li>Establish and develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders</li><li>Escalate and/or communicate with relevant stakeholders to discuss the issues raised during the quality control/validation activities and agree path forward for resolution</li><li>Demonstrate excellent communication to influence a wide range of stakeholders</li><li>Demonstrate strong initiative, project management, people skills, sound decision-making, intuitive thinking, and sensitivity to cultural diversity</li><li>Display presentation and influence skills</li></ul>The successful candidate will benefit from having:<ul><li>Proven experience in financial services, within a financial institution, or similar consultancy experience in the financial services industry</li><li>Direct internal audit or testing experience</li><li>Test plan writing and execution - Ability to draft, and execute, a formal quality control/validation testing plan that considers the organization’s risk profile, regulatory/legal requirements, and current risk trends </li><li>Demonstrate strong initiative, sound decision-making, analytical and intuitive mind-sets, political awareness, and sensitivity to cultural diversity</li><li>Experience in executing high quality, high value internal testing programs for large businesses or regulated environments</li><li>Ability to work through critical issues and realign priorities and deliverables as needed</li><li>Ability to form evaluative judgment(s) based on analysis of information in complicated, unique and dynamic situations</li><li>Superior analytical and organizational skills</li><li>Ability to multitask and prove flexibility to change plans at short notice</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms, with all levels of staff and management</li><li>Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CISA, CIA, ACA, ACCA) and/or an MBA with proven technical abilities in select areas (e.g., regulatory compliance, risk management, auditing) an advantage</li></ul>Working with Us:As a Northern Trust partner, greater achievements await.
