Job Description:
Provides engineering support to customers, customer support personnel and field support staff on systems and product issues. Works with customer and company personnel to define technical problem, determine the solution and assist customer in implementing the fix.Provide technical feedback to engineering concerning product changes/enhancements.
Provide on-site to assist in complex technical solutions requiring changes to core functionality, code, and systems operation.
Create tests, tools, and diagnostic procedures for use by product support personnel.
Create and maintain documentation relating to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.
Review application logs, databases, application programming, server stability and performance related issues.
Document all analysis and actions for assigned support calls.
Contribute to client training curriculum and other factors critical to companys operation.
Monitor and test network performance and provides network performance statistics and reports.
Serve as a technical liaison between clients, customers, and vendors resolve issues as needed.
Perform other duties that support the overall objective of the position.
Education Required:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Software or related field.
Or, any combination of education and experience which would provide the required qualifications for the position.
Experience Required:
5 plus years of experience in software and network engineering.
Experience with computer programming languages, core requirements in the program cover topics in operating systems and database administration.
Application use of algorithms in programming, design computer architecture and analyze system performance.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of: Technically fluent in programming languages, including SQL, JAVA, Perl, HTML, Fortran, C/C++, etc. Unix/Linux and Window Operations systems
Skill in: Communication (oral, written), interpersonal, customer service skills; analytical, critical thinking skills, organized with attention to detail.
Ability to: Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems; comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information.
