We are hiring a ServiceNow Software Engineer with ITOM experience. The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for leading, coaching and mentoring a team of Software Engineers who provide the development of project professional services for customers. The Senior Software Engineer will implement and develop customizations based on functional and technical requirements using leading practices and internal code standards on large-scale more complex professional services projects.  We will provide support and guidance to get you up to speed on some of the most amazing projects!  We provide official ServiceNow training so you can achieve multiple certifications. What You Will Be Doing <ul> <li> <ul> <li>As a Sr. ServiceNow ITOM Developer, you will be primarily creating new service maps/patterns and building/validating that related event management capabilities are working to support an automated service health dashboard</li> <li>Enhance ServiceNow (SN) event rules as necessary to ensure proper CMDB binding</li> <li>Interact with technical SMEs to get necessary environment information to support your service map and event work</li> <li>Enhance ServiceNow (SN) event rules as necessary to ensure proper CMDB binding</li> <li>Reflect impact assessment rules within service maps and validate with technical SMEs and stakeholders</li> <li>Participate in user acceptance testing of the resulting maps, impact rules and event management work</li> <li>Promote your update sets and data across applicable SN environments</li> <li>Remediate any production incidents that arise related to this scope</li> <li>Align with existing SN technical lead for map/event work to ensure consistent approach that does not break shared patterns</li> <li>Proactively maintain operational documentation and SOPs to reduce support risk &amp; inefficiency</li> </ul> Your Experience <ul> <li>3-5 years of ServiceNow development experience, preferably within the ITOM/CMDB platform</li> <li>Experience with Discovery and service discovery capabilities within ServiceNow</li> <li>Comprehension of, and the ability to communicate and implement ITOM/CMDB</li> <li>Ability to comprehend, modify and create server-side, object-oriented JavaScript, Unix Shell scripting and Windows scripting and PowerShell</li> <li>Ability to research and independently learn new technical information to perform configuration, operation, or network connectivity of applications, operating systems and network devices</li> <li>Experience in system administration of Linux and Windows servers</li> <li>Exposure to protocols such as HTTP, TCP, SNMP, SOAP, and REST</li> <li>IT Operations experience in storage, network, and compute of enterprise environments</li> <li>Service-oriented and distributed application architecture in the enterprise (web services, data access and persistence, client/server, etc.)</li> <li>Understand Credential less and Credential based Discovery</li> <li>Experience in installing, configuring, and integrating software products from ServiceNow ITOM visibility with a focus on the discovery, service mapping, certification management, Service Graph Connectors and Multisource CMDB</li> <li>Ability to prevent duplicate Cis with CI identifiers</li> <li>Ability to extend Horizontal Discovery with custom Infrastructure Patterns and Application Patterns</li> <li>Knowledge and ability to configure, manage and maintain MID servers</li> <li>Proficient in working with command line console for Service Mapping</li> <li>Ability to work with and migrate patterns between Environments for Service Mapping</li> <li>Proficient in configuring Identification Rules for Service Mapping</li> <li>Ability and knowledge in Discovery of multi-tier services including advance pattern configuration for Service Mapping</li> </ul> </li> </ul> Education:  <ul> <li> A four-year undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or demonstrated work experience</li> </ul> Certifications &amp; Knowledge  The candidate must be willing and able to continue their education within the ServiceNow platform and beyond.
