You have deep technical expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to influence across the organization.What you will do:<ul><li>Device Deployment &amp; Support: Support device deployments at scale and provide both software and hardware support; occasionally including manual device recovery. </li><li>Infrastructure Enhancement: Continuously improve our testing environments and infrastructure, focusing on scalability, reliability, and efficiency.</li><li>Monitoring &amp; Troubleshooting: Architect monitoring solutions and proactively respond to alerts for our labs . Troubleshoot issues involving networking throughput, power, firmware, and automation software.</li><li>Automation Development: Enhance operational efficiency by developing integrated solutions to decrease the amount of manual effort of the lab</li><li>On-Call Rotation: Participate in a weekly on-call rotation to ensure the smooth operation of our device lab and provide exceptional support to our stakeholders</li><li>Prototyping Assistance: Assist in the design, assembly and support of prototype systems and projects within the Labs team.</li><li>Ad-Hoc Support: Provide support for engineers on ad-hoc projects and debugging tasks.</li><li>Traffic Shaping: Support the implementation, design, and improvements of Netflix’s internal traffic shaping product.</li><li>Remote Device Management: Support remote mobile device management enabling Netflix teams to access devices globally through a simple UI.</li><li>Tool Creation: Lead cross-functional engineering projects focused on developing tools that enhance developer productivity.</li></ul>What you need to have to be successful:<ul><li>Data Center Experience: Experience working in data centers or high availability environments.</li><li>Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience managing and troubleshooting consumer electronic devices such as game consoles, set top boxes, mobile devices, and computers, as well as  Linux servers, and network switches/routers.</li><li>Tool Expertise: Proficiency with all major operating systems, including Android, iOS, Windows, Linux, and macOS, along with a proven ability to manage large fleets of these devices using tools like JAMF, Apple Configurator, and Ansible.</li><li>Command Line Skills: 7+ years of experience with command line tools in Unix, Linux or network devices.</li><li>Automation Skills: Experience automating tasks using shell scripts, Ansible, or Python; JS, and nodejs is a bonus.</li><li>Networking Knowledge: Working knowledge of network protocols configuration, and troubleshooting; i.e. TCP/IP, subnets, DHCP, DNS, AWS VPC</li><li>Troubleshooting Skills: Advanced skills in troubleshooting A/V Equipment, infrastructure hardware and software, and both on prem or cloud servers. </li><li>Problem Solving: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process improvement.</li><li>Independence: Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.</li><li>Customer Service: Experience working directly with internal and external customers.</li><li>Reliability Mindset: Application performance monitoring, instrumentation and observability tools.</li><li>Decision Making: Ability to work through ambiguity and make informed decisions with incomplete information.</li></ul> Bonus Qualifications:<ul><li>Maker Mindset: 3D CAD modeling experience, Low Voltage electronics design and troubleshooting, Embedded Iot applications, PCB design, Computer Vision (gstreamer, opencv).</li></ul>Join us and be part of an innovative environment to continue delighting our next hundred million customers around the globe.
