Netflix reaches over 300 million members in 190+ countries—and every one of them relies on payments to access our service. As we expand into new models, markets, and platforms, our ability to design payment experiences that are seamless, flexible, and trusted has never been more critical.

The Payments XD team shapes the infrastructure behind how members sign up, stay subscribed, and resolve issues with confidence. We work on everything from onboarding and billing to payment recovery and method of payment systems—with a growing focus on platformization, global scale, and commerce innovation.

This is a high-impact role at the intersection of product, infrastructure, and growth. You’ll help lead the next generation of payment experiences that power Netflixs business—and work alongside a team that values deep systems thinking, strong product instincts, and great craft.

What You’ll Do...

  • Lead the design of core payment experiences that touch millions of members—across signup, billing, and error resolution.

  • Partner deeply with PM, Engineering, Research, and Data to drive clarity, reduce complexity, and unlock global scale.

  • Contribute to the foundation of our payments design system—defining archetypes, setting patterns, and driving consistency.

  • Help evolve Payments as a Service: thinking beyond flows into frameworks, platform components, and repeatable excellence.

  • Collaborate across vertical and platform teams to ensure payments integrate cleanly into broader acquisition and commerce journeys.
     

About You...

  • 7+ years of product design experience, with a strong systems and interaction design background.

  • Skilled at simplifying complexity, influencing without formal authority, and balancing short-term outcomes with long-term vision.

  • Experience designing for payments, commerce, or enterprise-scale platforms is a strong plus.

  • Strong communicator who thrives in fast-paced, cross-functional environments with high ambiguity.

  • Thoughtful, inclusive, and excited to collaborate with kind, sharp teammates.

Pay Transparency

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top-of-market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $120,000 - $515,000.

Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs.  Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off. Full-time salaried employees are immediately entitled to flexible time off.
