This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least two days a week in the office.Our client base includes major construction and development companies as well as large industrial groups and property investors in Belgium… who require wholesale capacity for their major construction projects.We will count on you to:Work with clients and colleagues to meet every facet of our clients/projects insurance needs, the task will vary greatly but could include:Pre-binding:<ul><li>Provide technical insurance advice on a wide variety of challenges that face our clients daily</li><li>Manage budgeting and preparation of underwriting submissions</li><li>Develop program structures and craft policy terms</li></ul>Place business:<ul><li>Planning broking strategy with clients or network offices and brokers in Belgium and International markets to attain lead terms and/or support to lead terms</li><li>Review and Issue documentation including agreed wordings, placing slips, endorsements, insurance manuals and minutes of meetings</li><li>Place facility business directly with the market and execute wider portfolio strategy</li></ul>New Business:<ul><li>Identify new business opportunities</li><li>Secure new business in conjunction with our local offices and wider networks</li></ul>What you need to have: <ul><li>Handling/broking experience with Construction Clients or large corporate/public/social profit clients</li><li>Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines</li><li>Excellent communication skills and confidence to develop strong relationships with senior level client and internal contact points</li><li>Technical competence in construction insurances</li></ul>What makes you stand out?<ul><li>Knowledge / experience of construction industry and construction contracts</li><li>A good team working ethos</li><li>Enthusiasm and ambition</li><li>Pro-activity, no nonsense attitude</li><li>Growth mindset</li><li>Eager to contribute to product development</li><li>Native speaker Dutch.
