The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.</p><h3>Job Description</h3><p>Meet The Press NOW is looking for an experienced Associate Producer who has a strong interest in political reporting and election coverage and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven team environment.   </p><p>Get in touch if you love to edit video, write, work with graphics and want to be part of a great team.</p><p>This position is represented by the NewsGuild-CWA.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Editing video and producing graphic elements for the live show on tight deadlines</li><li>Editing in Adobe Premiere and AVID</li><li>Working closely with EP, senior producers, line producer, segment producers, booking producers, production assistants and hosts</li><li>Pitching relevant and compelling live and taped segment ideas</li><li>Compiling research for day-of news and long-term projects</li><li>Writing scripts in iNews as needed</li><li>Working closely with the Meet the Press digital team to publish and distribute video on social media and owned-platforms</li><li>Staying up on the news and jumping in as duty calls</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>You’ve been working in digital video, broadcast or cable news for 2+ years</li><li>You have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience</li><li>You are willing to work in New York, NY</li></ul><p><strong>Desired Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>You’re comfortable editing digital video and you want to get even better at it</li><li>You’ve got an interest and passion for journalism and up on the latest news across multiple subject areas</li><li>You’ve got big ideas and want to develop your journalistic writing and research skills to bring them to life</li><li>You can enterprise, research and plan stories</li><li>You possess a strong sense of newsworthiness, AP-style and social media best practices</li><li>You’re able to work calmly under intense deadline to finish a project</li><li>You thrive working in a collaborative team environment</li><li>You pay attention to the details of everything you work on</li><li>You have prior experience shooting in the field on DSLR cameras</li><li>Comfortable producing stories using remote interviews and video material on hand</li></ul><p><strong>Additional Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Hybrid</strong>: This position has been designated as hybrid, which currently requires contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Beginning January 5, 2026, hybrid employees will be required to work from the office a minimum of four days per week.
