Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company (SpinCo) comprised of most of NBCUniversals cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

A strong candidate will have solid experience and a proven track record of delivering strategic, large projects from planning to execution and be accountable for leveraging data, people, process, methodology, and technology to instill timely delivery.
 
High-level responsibilities include overseeing daily operational communications, weekly and monthly reporting, executive readouts, operational training and development programs, employee experience efforts and ad hoc cross-functional requests.

In this role you are effective at working independently and must exhibit strong collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to work across functional areas and effectively drive multiple project efforts concurrently.   You possess strong analytical, planning and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands. You are a proactive, creative, strategic thinker that is detail oriented and a problem solver.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

  • Support cross-functional strategic employee project initiatives from conception to execution
  • Oversee employee experience team, including operational communications, employee projects, training & development initiatives, as well as internal communication and report support for senior leadership
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to lead oversight of employee project completion schedule and timely delivery of business-critical communications.
  • Develop Project Management Plans, monitoring and communicating progress and making required iterations, identifying stakeholders and assigning responsibilities, building baseline schedules and Work Breakdown Structure in coordination with stakeholders
  • Support the development and communication of recommendations to an executive audience
  • Provide regular reports and project status updates to management, stakeholders and others, highlighting successes, issues, risks and risk mitigation, understand root causes, and communicates the findings to the program/project core team, stakeholders and operational decision-makers.
  • Manage project communications, collaborating with internal and external project teams to deliver status updates or key business initiatives
  • Manage multiple mid to large sized projects at any given time
  • Review existing internal processes with the project team to ensure stakeholder requirements are inclusive, providing recommendations to the cross functional team for improvements or where new processes should be implemented to include automation and optimization
  • Lead the analysis and reconciliation of data and report projects and initiatives delivery

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ year of relevant work experience in operations, technology and/or media industry, driving projects/strategic initiatives
• Minimum of 5+ year cross-functional internal communication and/or employee program & project management experience with strong facilitation, communication planning and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with the ability to synthesize detailed information into succinct and actionable recommendations in presentations for operational decision-makers
• Self-motivated, deliverable-focused, strong work ethic, able to prioritize and resolve an array of issues simultaneously
• Collaborative mindset and ability to navigate and build trust in a complex organization; Candidate must have the ability to collaborate effectively and drive initiatives with cross functional partners
• Problem solving skills
• Ability to think strategically and analytically
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills
• Execution-oriented, and able to complete tasks independently
• Experience with Smartsheets, MS Project, JIRA, and Slack is beneficial as is proficiency with Power Point and SharePoint
