<p><strong>POSITION SUMMARY:</strong></p> <p>Natera is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Test - Clinical Genomics responsible for developing and maintaining software automation test frameworks and tools for the Tertiary Analysis platform. This position can be 100 % remote or in San Carlos, CA or Austin, TX  (10% on-site, 90% remote).</p> <p><strong>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Responsible for maintaining and supporting the test infrastructure for Nateras software systems and components.</li> <li>Develop, construct, and maintain test automation tools and frameworks utilizing clean coding practices and functional programming methodologies.</li> <li>Perform complete end-to-end validation of Natera tertiary analysis software applications.</li> <li>Conduct system analysis, assess risks, and develop effective test strategies by reviewing product design and technical specifications, while collaborating with product managers and developers.</li> <li>Evangelize new testing methodologies, best practices and tools with goals to continuously improve test coverage through automation.</li> <li>Integrate with deployment infrastructure to establish a continuous build and test cycle.</li> <li>Collaborate closely with developers throughout all phases of the SDLC to ensure quality in our development process.</li> <li>Identify, document, and communicate any failures found during testing to the relevant teams.</li> <li>This role works with PHI on a regular basis both in paper and electronic form and has access to various technologies to access PHI (paper and electronic) in order to perform the job.</li> </ul> <p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p> <ul> <li>6+ years of experience developing test automation frameworks and harnesses using programming and scripting languages.</li> <li>BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.</li> </ul> <p><strong>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong working knowledge of Java and other programming languages. .</li> <li>Recent hands-on experience with REST API testing and test automation.</li> <li>Recent hands-on API test automation tools and libraries such as Junit, RESTAssured, Spring, Postman, PyTest, lombok, Allure, MockServer,  and others.</li> <li>Extensive working knowledge of relational databases and strong SQL skills.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of Linux, command line shell scripting, Kubernetes, Helm.</li> <li>Shift-left quality &amp; CI/CD (GitLab/Jenkins/GitHub Actions), observability (Datadog, Grafana), and release automation.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, test planning, equivalence partitioning, DevOps, system dependencies, and product integration phases.</li> </ul><div><div><div>The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years &amp; depth of experience, certifications and specific office location.
