Come build the first distributed utility with us, propelling the biggest energy transformation of our lifetime.</div><div><br /></div><div><span>The Role</span></div><div><br /></div><div>We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Firmware Engineer with Linux Platform and Application Development expertise to join the Firmware Engineering team at Moxion Power. You will play a crucial role in the development of our mobile power platform.</div><h3>What you’ll do:</h3><ul><li>Bring up our Linux based controller platform working with Buildroot/Yocto and other tools to customize our image</li><li>Design and develop remote control and telemetry functions for both user and service oriented workflows</li><li>Collaborate with the cloud applications team on telemetry and remote interface specification</li><li>Design and develop software that operates our system’s touchscreen and physical controls to create a world class operator experience.</li><li>Design and develop real time command and control applications for distributed energy resource management</li><li>Collaborate with and support System Integration and Test teams during the R&amp;D and Sustaining Engineering product phases</li><li>Produce well-articulated design documentation to drive alignment within and across teams</li><li>Help establish best practices for developing safe, reliable, maintainable software.</li><li>Collaborate with Systems Engineering team to define Linux controller requirements and specifications</li><li>Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to team members, fostering their professional growth and promoting a collaborative work environment</li><li>Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and software quality guidelines.</li></ul><h3>Skills to be successful:</h3><ul><li>5+ years of experience with embedded C / C++ programming, and some familiarity with scripting languages like Python.</li><li>3+ years of experience with embedded UI development</li><li>Solid understanding of embedded system architecture</li><li>Experience with debugging tools, performance profiling, and optimization techniques.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and debug complex system-level issues.</li><li>Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li><li>Understand complex problems across multiple disciplines and apply software engineering methodology to attack them</li></ul><h3>Nice to haves:</h3><ul><li>Knowledge or expertise in energy, fleet management, or EV industry</li><li>Experience with CAN communication and UDS protocol</li><li>Familiarity with cryptography and security-focused development</li></ul><h3>Compensation Details:</h3><ul><li>Compensation Range: $164,000-$192,000</li></ul><div>#LI-JF1</div><div><br /></div><div><span>Pay Equity</span></div><div><br /></div><div>Moxion is committed to the principle of pay equity – paying employees equitably for substantially similar work. Compensation displayed is a range. Maximum amounts are reserved for those candidates that exceed all experience and background requirements.  We reserve the right to offer compensation based on level of experience.  Moxion has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay within the San Francisco Bay area.
