As an exceptional technical engineer and self-starter, you are able to design, execute and test new telematics and connectivity features on a range of Linux, Android or real-time operating systems. What You’ll Do:  <ul> <li>Define and drive the technical vision and architectural strategy for high-performance firmware on multi-core embedded platforms. Own features from architecture through validation and release.</li> <li>Establish, evangelize, and enforce high coding standards, best practices, and rigorous code review processes to maintain code quality and predictability.</li> <li>Debug, optimize, and validate firmware on complex embedded multi-core architectures.</li> <li>Develop automated and unit-level functional testing to validate features</li> <li>Engage with a cross-disciplinary team to design, develop and test features up the stack.</li> </ul> What We’re Looking For:  <ul> <li>7+ years of professional experience in Embedded Software or Firmware development.</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience</li> <li>Strong programming experience and demonstrated proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems, including development of algorithms, manipulation of complex data structures, and implementing highly optimized code</li> <li>Consumer electronics experience or familiarity with 2-3 or relevant technologies: mutli-core ARM processors, WiFi/BT, IoT</li> <li>Familiarity with ARM or equivalent embedded multi-core microprocessor architectures is required</li> <li>Strong understanding of operating systems concepts such as thread scheduling, context switching and memory management is required.</li> <li>RTOS, Linux or Android OS with ARM </li> <li>Electrical bus communication such as UART, CAN, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, etc …</li> </ul> Creating a diverse and inclusive workplace is one of Motives core values.
