Senior Manager is responsible enhancing the performance of the organization, by applying his/ her creativity, and by making use of familiar tools and new tools in the marketplace. The candidate’s responsibility will span across almost all facets of MSFS, working with various groups on such projects. Besides analytical and technical skills, the candidate must have good communication skills, a collaborative attitude, high creativity, as well as being an independent thinker and at the same time a great listener.Morgan Stanley Fund Services (MSFS) provides fund administration services to the world’s leading hedge funds. MSFS has around 1300+ professional globally and of which, 700+ employees work out of India. Our offices are spread in New York, Dublin, London, Glasgow, Mumbai, Bangalore and Hong Kong.Product Development (PD) team within Morgan Stanley Fund Services (MSFS) is the change &amp; transformation think tank that works with the fund services business to establish overall strategy and priorities for the technology products and platforms. Based on the business strategy and overall priorities, the Product Development team leads &amp; drives the product plans including gathering user requirements for the development teams, facilitating design reviews with the business and manage the overall rollout plans including QA, user testing, staff training and final delivery. The team partners with the business &amp; technology teams across multiple global locations to deliver the final product.   The current opening is for the Client Computing Solutions (CCS) Team which is part of Product Development function. The CCS Team develops tools to resolve complex business problems that are overwhelming and error-prone if handled manually by front-line colleagues.  Complexity is often found in areas such as investor services, investor allocation, regulatory reporting, capital activities and trade transaction management. The Team is comprised of colleagues who have had solid technical education and have studied finance and accounting as the chosen field to apply the skills.  The CCS Team tends to focus on very complex, specific and urgent circumstances, and the solutions tend to be highly customized for the clients concerned, and rapid turnaround is usually a requirement.   What you’ll do in the role:  <ul><li>Liaise with executive management &amp; business users across locations to understand/ document business requirements, detail the use cases &amp; propose solution options</li><li>Design &amp; develop a solution which is flexible to incorporate changes and scalable</li><li>End-to-end ownership of the tools built for client processes</li><li>Envisioning scenarios and take steps to incorporate them in the solution</li><li>Own deliverables across the automation journey to ensure the use cases and scenarios are properly documented &amp; analysed</li><li>Create &amp; manage project plans, call out risks &amp; issues proactively, report progress against the plan &amp; track associated project benefits</li><li>Create training plans &amp; provide trainings to team-members &amp; users as need arises</li><li>Ability to wear multiple hats including but not limited to Business Analyst, Developer (20-30% Coding might be required), Project Manager, Tester &amp; Business User</li></ul>What you’ll bring to the role:<ul><li>B.Tech/ B.E. or an equivalent engineering degree along with either MBA or equivalent degree in Finance/ Accounting or CFA or equivalent certification with 8+ years of relevant work experience</li><li>Demonstrated programming skills in any one language, experience with Python, VBA is a plus</li><li>Demonstrated interest and skills in technology and process management</li><li>Ability to work with Microsoft office: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access</li><li>Knowledge of databases, database concepts with ability to handle large data-set will be a plus</li><li>Strong project management skills with ability to take ownership &amp; lead projects independently with minimum supervision</li><li>Working knowledge of project management tools like JIRA, Rally or any other in-house developed tools</li><li>Strong communication skills &amp; ability to interface with executive management, business users and technology development teams in multiple locations</li><li>Should be detailed oriented and must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>Experience of working with multiple stakeholders for prioritisation and tracking of requirements</li><li>Ability to do people management and work as part of focused globally distributed teams, in a complex matrix environment</li><li>Ability to handle pressure, effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks with high level of accuracy</li><li>Proactive, positive, self-motivated &amp; a good team player</li></ul>WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY: We are committed to maintaining the first-class service and high standard of excellence that have defined Morgan Stanley for over 89 years.
