Business Overview HR Technology organization provides IT support to the Morgan Stanley Human Resource division. The Rewards Technology team is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining applications, which helps the firm to manage firm wide compensation and long-term incentive administration. We also provide technology expertise for vendor solution implementation and serve as the Morgan Stanley technology guidance to those vendor solutions. Senior Database Developer to help engineer rules and database solution for the Firms compensation system being built on Beqom Total Compensation platform, leveraging Microsoft Azure PaaS / SaaS / IoT solution. This role requires strong experience in database development. Responsibilities<ul><li>Lead development of Data Integration, Migration, and Reporting subsystems of the Beqom Compensation application</li><li>Work with EMEA HR business partners to facilitate requirements gathering, analysis and implementation</li><li>Serve as a lead database developer for the Beqom Compensation team, coordinating development activities across local and global IT teams</li><li>Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers</li><li>Serve as primary IT contact interfacing with EMEA-based Morgan Stanley employees, HR users, and Operations team to provide L3 support functions to the user community</li><li>Assist in recruiting talent for the local team</li></ul> Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelors or Masters degree in quantitative discipline (e.g., engineering, science, statistics, math) or equivalent combination of education, training, certification and experience</li><li>8+ years of experience with developing database applications Required Skills</li><li>8+ Years working experience with major relational database, e.g. Azure SQL / SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase</li><li>Solid understanding of OLTP and OLAP database schema design</li><li>Experience designing, implementing, testing and maintaining stored database code including procedures, triggers and functions</li><li>Advanced knowledge of logical and physical data modeling and RDBMS concepts</li><li>Ability to debug complex, unfamiliar code</li><li>Ability to mine and parse large amounts of data</li><li>Experience using ETL tools like Informatica, SSIS, ADF</li><li>Solid exposure to performance optimization techniques</li><li>Ability to provide guidance, oversight, and peer review to more junior database developers</li></ul> Desired Skills<ul><li>Experience working in Agile/Scrum team environment</li><li>Experience with DevOps</li><li>Experience developing in SQL Server environment</li><li>Experience with Power BI</li><li>Experience with Azure</li></ul>#LI-LM1WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY: We are committed to maintaining the first-class service and high standard of excellence that have defined Morgan Stanley for over 89 years.
