Read on…What you’ll do in the role:<ul><li>Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure data center and enterprise network architectures</li><li>Develop and maintain high-level and low-level design documents, deployment plans, and migration strategies</li><li>Drive initiatives supporting cloud adoption, SD-WAN, automation, and network segmentation</li><li>Serve as a technical escalation point for complex issues and lead troubleshooting efforts</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure solutions with business goals</li><li>Engage with vendors to evaluate and integrate new technologies</li><li>Ensure designs meet requirements for resiliency, disaster recovery, and performance SLAs</li><li>Present technical solutions to internal stakeholders and technology governance boards</li></ul>What you’ll bring to the role:Networking Expertise:<ul><li>4+ years in network engineering roles, ideally within financial services or service provider environments</li><li>Deep expertise in routing/switching protocols: BGP, OSPF, MP-BGP, RIP</li><li>Advanced LAN/WAN design and multicast networking: Spanning Tree, VLANs (802.1Q), PIM, IGMP</li><li>Extensive experience with SDN technologies, VXLAN, EVPN, SD-WAN, DMVPN</li><li>Working knowledge on Wireless Technologies</li><li>Strong understanding of MPLS, SONET/SDH, and modern enterprise WAN topologies</li></ul>Platform Knowledge:<ul><li>Cisco Nexus 9000, Catalyst 9000/6800/4500, ASR 9000 routers</li><li>Arista EOS-based switching platforms</li><li>Juniper JunOS platforms (preferred)</li></ul>Operating Systems:<ul><li>Cisco IOS, NX-OS, IOS-XE, IOS-XR</li><li>Arista EOS, JunOS</li><li>Linux/UNIX proficiency</li></ul>At Morgan Stanley Montreal, we support the Firm’s global businesses and infrastructure with cutting edge technology and innovation.
