Who we are:
We Are Modernizing Medicine (WAMM)! We’re a team of bright, passionate, and positive problem-solvers on a mission to place doctors and patients at the center of care through an intelligent, specialty-specific cloud platform. Our vision is a world where the software we build increases medical practice success and improves patient outcomes. Founded in 2010 by Daniel Cane and Dr. Michael Sherling, we have grown to over 3400 combined direct and contingent team members serving eleven specialties, and we are just getting started! ModMed is based in Boca Raton, FL, with office locations in Santiago, Chile, Berlin, Germany, Hyderabad, India, and a robust remote workforce with team members across the US.
ModMed is hiring a driven Patient Services Trainer to join our positive, passionate, and high-performing Patient Services team focused on delivering exceptional training and development experiences for our frontline healthcare support professionals. This is an exciting opportunity to lead workshops and onboarding efforts within a fast-paced Healthcare IT company that is truly Modernizing Medicine!
Your Role:
- Create and lead training sessions and facilitate workshops for all Patient Services specialties as assigned, ensuring that all designated team members are trained in system processes and fully understand our products and services.
- Utilize quality call interactions, nesting feedback sessions, low-performance KPI metrics, and client investigation forms to design and outline new training content and curriculum.
- Lead onboarding processes for new hires, working closely with senior and lead specialists to deliver structured training using the PSS New Hire Onboarding Checklist.
- Serve as a quality assurance coach for 3–4 Patient Services Agents, reviewing QA calls and providing constructive feedback during the nesting period.
- Partner with supervisors and fellow trainers to continuously develop, evaluate, and enhance the training curriculum, including exploring the use of AI and resource applications to improve learning outcomes.
- Maintain a strong floor presence to support the daily workflow processes and serve as a point of contact for internal teams.
- Provide training to both onshore and offshore team members (including Omega consultants in Chile and Cebu, Philippines), conducting workshops for up to 15 people at a time.
Skills & Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- 2–3 years of experience in medical claims/billing and contact center environments required.
- At least 1 year of training experience.
- 1 year of experience in people leadership or operations leadership.
- Minimum of 1 year in reporting and data analysis.
- Prior experience using AI or training technology tools.
- Experience training both onshore and offshore teams.
- Ability to effectively communicate, even when conveying unpopular decisions.
- Strong decision-making capabilities, especially in the absence of detailed guidance or managerial input.
- Proven ability to analyze training effectiveness and make data-driven adjustments to the curriculum.
- Skilled in developing training tools and resources, with a continuous improvement mindset.
