The Territory Manager will report directly to their assigned District Manager. This is a field based-based position supporting the Hartford, CT Territory. This will include Hartford, New Britain, Southington, Springfield, Holyoke, and surrounding areas. The expectation is to be in the field 5 days/week. This position is an exciting opportunity to work with Medtronics Diabetes business. Medtronic has announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic, subject to applicable information and consultation requirements. As a separate entity, we anticipate leveraging increased investments to drive meaningful innovation and enhance our impact on patient care.<ul><li>Conduct sales calls to promote, sell, and service Medtronic Diabetes products and services to existing and potential physicians and patients.</li><li>Implement quarterly sales plans to achieve sales goals and objectives.</li><li>Collaborate with Clinical Territory Managers and Diabetes Clinical Educators to educate referral sources about intensive diabetes management and continuous glucose monitoring.</li><li>Work directly with patients, providing product and therapy technical support and service, including consultation at staff in-services and physician seminars.</li><li>Manage territory fiscally by controlling expenses, product returns, and inventory.</li><li>Build and maintain relationships with referral sources to establish a solid business base.</li><li>Participate in community organizations such as ADA, AADE, JDRF, and patient support groups to establish the company as a leader in diabetes products.</li><li>Coordinate daily support and customer activities at meetings as assigned.</li><li>Complete administrative reporting as required.</li><li>Utilize approved sales collateral to support promotional and territorial needs.</li><li>Partner with cross-functional teams and internal resources.</li><li>Promote and sell Medtronics Diabetes products and services within an assigned geographic area or customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets.</li><li>Develop, build, and strengthen long-term relationships with stakeholders, including healthcare professionals and non-clinical buyers.</li><li>Pursue leads, assess needs, and provide product services to maximize the benefits of Medtronics Diabetes products and services.</li><li>Promote and establish education on the companys products and services for physicians and accounts.</li><li>Conduct market research on customers and competitors.</li><li>Implement market development plans and strategies, making changes as needed.</li><li>Communicate customer feedback on new products or modifications to internal stakeholders like R&amp;D, Operations, and Marketing.</li></ul>Must Have: Minimum Requirements To be considered for this role, please ensure the minimum requirements are evident on your resume.<ul><li>Bachelors degree. </li><li>Minimum of three (3) years prior sales experience</li></ul>Nice to Have<ul><li>Field sales experience highly preferred.</li><li>Prior medical device, business to business or pharmaceutical sales experience highly preferred. </li><li>Experience using Salesforce</li><li>Prior inside sales or field clinical experience with Medtronic Diabetes.</li><li>Previous sales award recipient due to strong sales performance (i.e. President’s Club, Rookie of the Year). </li><li>Strong data analysis, evaluation and problem solving skills. </li></ul>Diabetes Business Description:The Diabetes Operating Unit focuses on improving the lives of those within the global diabetes community.
