If you want to be part of tomorrow’s health today, we want to hear from you.The Sr. Accounts Receivable Specialist role is responsible for managing complex accounts receivable reconciliations, resolving payment discrepancies, and handling escalations with internal and external stakeholders. Job Responsibilities:1. Analyze account balances for payment applications to ensure proper allocation of payments received. May assist in developing new or revised processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors. 2. Contact patients, physicians, clinics, hospitals, insurance companies, government agencies, etc., regarding outstanding accounts, billings, claims, or statements. 3. Negotiates settlements of delinquent accounts by contacting patients, third-party payers, or other entities. May provide support and assistance to collections staff as needed. 4. Assists in preparation of reports, analyses, and/or correspondence related to billing, accounts receivable, and/or patient accounts. 5. Identifies and analyzes trends in uncollectible accounts and takes action to reduce bad debt. 6. Maintains records and files related to accounts, billing, accounts receivable, and/or patient accounts. 7. Support and execute integrations of new businesses in the current environment as required.8. Provide support and assist in communication with treasury, banking partners, and other internal functions.9. Develop, direct, plan, and evaluate accounts receivable policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with both external and internal controls.10. Ensure all general ledger accounts are accurately reconciled and in balance as part of the month-end close process, adhering to the established timeline and procedural schedule. Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Proven experience in accounts receivable or a related financial role.</li><li>Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities are essential.</li><li>Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.</li><li>Knowledge of HIPAA requirements and confidentiality of patient information.</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively in English via verbal and written communications.</li></ul> Minimum Requirements: <ul><li>Typically requires 5+ years of related experience in accounts receivable, customer service, or collections.</li></ul> Other Qualifications/Requirements:Must be able to work a hybrid schedule in the Irving, TX office: 2-3x a weekWe are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
