Job Responsibilities:<ul><li>Assists in setting up new patients on specialty drug therapies by providing product information, obtaining prior authorization requirements, scheduling follow-up appointments for lab work or other services required for continued therapy, and addressing any adherence issues</li><li>Monitors all aspects of specialty pharmacy services for assigned patients including, but not limited to, refill requests, appointment scheduling, laboratory results, and billing</li><li>Communicates with providers regarding patient care needs, adverse events, medication side effects, and/or medication interactions</li><li>Maintains accurate documentation of all patient interactions in the electronic medical record system</li><li>Provides assistance to healthcare professionals related to medication use and disease state management</li><li>Educates patients on proper use of medications, potential side effects, drug interactions, and lifestyle modifications necessary to maximize therapeutic outcomes</li></ul> Qualifications:<ul><li>Bilingual in English/French is an asset</li><li>Registered Nurse (RN) or Pharmacist (RPh) in good standing</li><li>Superior customer service skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate, and build strong relationships with patients, Physicians, and all members of the team.</li><li>Self-directed and self-motivated with the ability to work independently while being part of a team.</li><li>Acquires strong decision making and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to multi-task.</li><li>Strong business acumen and ability to adapt to a corporate work environment.</li><li>Excellent clinical assessment and clinical decision-making skills</li><li>Experience in reimbursement navigation, special authorization, appeals process and conducting field-based reimbursement support and consultation</li><li>Knowledge of private and public reimbursement structure, systems and process.</li><li>Strong analytical skills including interpretation of regulation and legislation.</li><li>Previous experience using Patient Support Program Software/Technology is an asset.</li><li>Able to travel when required, some overnight travel may be required.</li><li>Ability to work in a dynamic, rapidly changing work environment.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail</li><li>Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite and web-based software systems</li></ul></div></div></div></div>We are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
