Join us.</div><h1>Job Summary</h1> We are looking for a Senior Manager of Accounting to add to our Finance team as May Mobility continues to grow. We are looking for a candidate that will ensure the company assets are in compliance with US GAAP and ASC-606, can build and scale new processes, is motivated by constant process improvement opportunities and can work well cross-functionally.  This role reports to the Director of Accounting.  <h1>Essential Responsibilities</h1> <ul> <li>Drive technical accounting review for all new contracts, applying appropriate technical guidance (such as ASC 606) where appropriate and present such conclusions to the Director, Accounting </li> <li>Research and interpret complex accounting issues, providing guidance to internal stakeholders on the appropriate accounting treatment for unusual transactions such as debt and equity financing, and other non-routine complex business transactions</li> <li>Provide technical accounting guidance and support, including implementation of any new accounting standards</li> <li>Lead and manage all aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including consolidations, preparing and/or reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger system.</li> <li>Assist in implementation and documentation of internal controls and any SOX-readiness projects</li> <li>Assist the Director, Accounting with financial statement preparation and audits, including preparation of footnote disclosures and related support</li> <li>Support global consolidations and support international accounting team members</li> <li>Ability to manage team members effectively, providing support and coaching as necessary</li> <li>Play a key role in public company readiness, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and internal control enhancements.</li> <li>Support other special projects as assigned</li> </ul> Skills and Abilities Success in this role typically requires the following competencies: <ul> <li>Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills</li> <li>Strong attention to detail and highly-organized</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to multitask and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced work environment</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to diplomatically approach team members to discuss sensitive financial matters</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to use professional judgment to escalate matters when necessary</li> <li>Orients work within teams to achieve business results</li> <li>Passionate about self-driving cars and their impact on the world</li> </ul> <h1>Qualifications and Experience</h1> Candidates most successful in this role typically hold the following qualifications or comparable knowledge or experience: Required <ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field </li> <li>Minimum 7 years working in corporate accounting/finance or public accounting</li> <li>Active CPA license</li> <li>Strong understanding of US GAAP</li> <li>Experience with PCAOB </li> <li>Experience with and extensive knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition </li> <li>Experience with complex accounting topics such as debt and equity financing, stock compensation, acquisitions/divestitures, and other non-routine complex business transactions</li> <li>Experience writing technical accounting memos</li> <li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li> <li>Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail</li> </ul> Desirable <ul> <li>Master’s Degree in Accounting</li> <li>Experience managing team members</li> <li>Manufacturing/inventory experience</li> <li>Experience with fixed asset management and impairment analysis</li> <li>Experience with global consolidations with various entity structures</li> <li>Experience with Netsuite ERP or with another ERP system</li> <li>Experience using Google Suite </li> </ul> <h1>Physical Requirements</h1> <ul> <li>Standard office working conditions which includes but is not limited to:</li> <ul> <li>Prolonged sitting</li> <li>Prolonged standing</li> <li>Prolonged computer use</li> </ul> </ul> Travel required? -  No: 0% <div> <div> <div> <div> <div> <div><hr /> Benefits and Perks <ul> <li>Comprehensive healthcare suite including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability plans.
