Join us.</span></span></p></div><h1><strong>Job Summary</strong></h1> <p>May Mobility is entering an exciting phase of growth as we expand our first-of-its-kind autonomous shuttle and mobility services across the nation. We believe strongly in the need to demonstrate the safety of our Autonomous Vehicles, so that people can ride with confidence.  In many ways, this is an even more important goal for the AV industry than getting the vehicles to drive autonomously.  Simulation-based testing is a big part of our strategy to achieve this.  We are looking to add an experienced senior developer to our simulation infrastructure team, who can provide technical leadership and help deliver meaningful insights through simulation..</p> <h1><strong>Essential Responsibilities</strong></h1> <ul> <li>Lead design, manage, and scale our simulation infrastructure to enable our fleet to operate and facilitate continuous development of our system</li> <li>Partner with our vehicle autonomy, operations, and platform teams to improve performance, facilitate new use-cases for simulation, and make simulation an effective predictive tool.</li> <li>Write high performance, generic libraries to make our simulation software as fast and scalable as possible</li> <li>Mentor and coach junior team members to instill best practices</li> <li>Build and manage large-scale simulation pipelines in a cloud environment</li> </ul> <h1><strong>Skills and Abilities</strong></h1> <p><em>Success in this role typically requires the following competencies:</em></p> <ul> <li>Excellent attention to detail and rigorous testing methodology</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li> <li>Ability to provide technical leadership for a development team</li> </ul> <p> </p> <h1><strong>Qualifications and Experience</strong></h1> <p><em>Candidates most successful in this role typically hold the following qualifications or comparable knowledge or experience:</em></p> <p><strong><em>Required</em></strong></p> <ul> <li>B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent degree </li> <li>A minimum of 7 years of industry experience</li> <li>Significant experience working in modern C++ (C++14/17/20)</li> <li>Strong working knowledge of design patterns, data structures, and algorithms</li> <li>Experience designing, building, and expanding complex software systems with real-time and performance constraints</li> <li>Experience in some form of real-time simulation platform development and integration (game engine, autonomous vehicle simulation, etc…) </li> <li>Previous experience developing in Linux environments or ability to adapt to this environment</li> <li>Experience with robotics, automotive engineering, or start-ups is not required</li> </ul> <p><strong><em>Desirable</em></strong></p> <ul> <li>M.S.
