You’ll spend significant hands-on time building production services, delivering high-quality features, and contributing to the team’s goals while learning and growing in a collaborative, agile environment.</div><div><br /></div><div>This is a <b>hybrid role based in Manchester, UK</b>, with minimum <b>2 days a week in the office</b>. You’ll have the chance to shape the product, work with modern cloud technologies, and grow your skills across the full software development lifecycle, all while collaborating with a talented, cross-functional team.</div><h3>What you will be doing </h3><ul><li>Design, develop, test, and release features for Matillion’s cloud platform using <b>Java (11+, ideally 17) and React</b>, following best practices in code quality, scalability, and security.</li><li>Collaborate with your team to understand requirements, review code, and deliver solutions that meet business goals.</li><li>Participate in research, prototyping, and exploring new technologies to drive innovation and improve development processes.</li><li>Support and maintain production services, participating in monitoring, incident resolution, and on-call rotations as needed.</li><li>Continuously develop your skills, contribute to knowledge sharing, and help improve team practices, processes, and workflows.</li></ul><h3>What we are looking for </h3><ul><li>Strong <b>Java (11+, ideally 17) skills</b> with a good understanding of OOP, programming concepts, and best practices</li><li>Experience with <b>React and Typescript</b></li><li>Experience across the <b>full software development lifecycle</b>, including CI/CD deployment, agile methodologies, and cloud technologies (<b>AWS</b> preferred).</li><li>A collaborative, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently, tackle technical challenges, and contribute to cross-functional teams.</li><li>Curiosity, motivation, and attention to detail, with a passion for <b>data accuracy, integrity, and quality</b>.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills, inquisitiveness, and a growth mindset, with the ability to balance the big picture while focusing on details.</li></ul><div><span>At Matillion, we are committed to providing competitive salaries in line with market standards.
