Velocity builds the systems, AI-driven tools, and internal platforms that let product and engineering teams prototype, ship, and scale connection experiences faster than ever before. </div><div>You’ll work at the core of Tinder’s technical innovation engine—designing distributed systems that support AI-powered developer tooling, automating workflows, and eliminating bottlenecks that slow product iteration. From accelerating CI/CD pipelines to integrating AI agents into engineering workflows, your work will help hundreds of developers move with confidence and speed.</div><h3>In this role, you will:</h3><ul><li>Design, build, and operate scalable backend services that power AI-assisted development tools and automated workflows</li><li>Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to understand their pain points and deliver high-leverage solutions</li><li>Contribute to foundational systems that drive Tinders engineering velocity and developer experience</li><li>Integrate AI tools like Copilot, ChatGPT, or LangGraph to streamline common dev workflows</li><li>Monitor system health, maintain critical services, and lead improvements across CI/CD, build systems, and internal platforms</li></ul><h3>Youll need:</h3><ul><li>Deep expertise in <b>one or more backend languages</b>: TypeScript, Python, or Java</li><li>Strong experience with <b>distributed systems</b>, REST APIs, and backend microservices</li><li>Hands-on experience with <b>Kubernetes, AWS</b>, and cloud-native tooling</li><li>Prior experience using or integrating <b>AI dev-tools</b> (e.g., GitHub Copilot, LLMs, prompt frameworks)</li><li>Strong fundamentals in system design, debugging, and code review</li></ul><h3>Nice to have:</h3><ul><li>Experience building agent orchestration tools like <b>LangGraph</b></li><li>Familiarity with CI/CD systems like Jenkins, Bazel, or BuildKite</li><li>Interest in <b>prompt engineering</b> or working with internal AI agents</li><li>Familiarity with service mesh, observability stacks, or RAG systems</li></ul><div><b>Commitment to Inclusion</b></div><div><br /></div><div><span>At Tinder, we don’t just accept difference, we celebrate it.
