As part of the Brain team, you will help create and improve software systems that surface critical leads and insights for forensic investigators, ensuring fast, relevant, and accurate results. You’ll collaborate closely with AI Research, Product, UX, and Engineering teams to develop scalable and high-performance search solutions for complex digital forensics workflows. This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging problems and contribute to building state-of-the-art systems within a growing platform.</span></div><h3>What You Will Accomplish:</h3><ul><li>Build scalable, high-performance software solutions for complex systems in a cloud-native environment;</li><li>Develop and optimize infrastructure to handle data processing, ensuring reliability, fault tolerance, and efficiency;</li><li>Contribute to system performance improvements by analyzing data, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing optimizations across multiple areas of the system;</li><li>Take ownership of critical system components, working to improve both functionality and user impact;</li><li>Support the deployment, monitoring, and scaling of cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring systems remain performant and meet customer needs;</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative solutions into our platform and improve our search results.</li></ul><h3>Why You’ll Love This Role</h3><ul><li>In your first 90 days, you’ll dive into our search systems, familiarizing yourself with the underlying infrastructure and relevant user workflows. You’ll collaborate closely with the team to enhance core system components, drive improvements, and make an immediate impact across multiple areas of the system. You’ll also analyze system performance, scalability, and user needs, identifying key areas for improvement.  By the end of your first three months, you’ll have taken ownership of a key initiative, delivering enhancements that directly improve the platforms scalability, performance, or the quality of our search results.</li></ul><h3>What We Are Looking For:</h3><ul><li>We are looking for a strong software engineer who is eager to contribute to a cloud-native platform and tackle real-world problems in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. While you dont need to be an expert in every technology listed, a solid engineering background and the ability to learn quickly will set you up for success.</li></ul><h3>Required Skills:</h3><ul><li>Experience with cloud-native systems and building scalable software solutions;</li><li>Familiarity with distributed systems, event processing, cloud infrastructure, and optimizing system performance;</li><li>Strong programming, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven mindset;</li><li>Naturally curious and willing to learn.
