You will also get a wide range of company benefits such as life insurance, medical care, sport card and the hybrid way of working (3 days from the office, 2 days from home).Key responsibilities:<ul><li>Prepare Indirect tax returns for non-complex/high risk including processing, analysis, exception checking &amp; reconciliations in relation to indirect tax returns and tax payments.</li><li>Prepare and maintain various tax support workpapers accurately and timely as required by taxing jurisdictions to ensure all tax filings deadlines are met.</li><li>Data extraction and collection for all ITX returns where ITX Ops are responsible for the preparation of the return</li><li>Maintenance of evidence to support tax filing positions and future audits.  </li><li>Identify, initiate, and support the continual process improvement to ensure the quality and efficiency of processes and systems within the tax function.</li><li>Supporting audit needs of various jurisdictions and ensuring organization is audit ready</li><li>Monitor and control indirect tax compliance process workflow and related timeline</li><li>Investigate and plan action on Indirect tax account aging balances.</li><li>Ensure Indirect tax accounts balances are maintained and undertake GL reconciliations</li><li>Support and contribute to finance transformation and related tax projects</li><li>Support on implementation of the ITX reporting solution</li><li>Support on the registration and deregistration of entities</li><li>Review and research international tax law for tax planning, accounting and compliance purposes.</li><li>Collating data and preparing reports, reconciliations, and responses to information requests from management, tax authorities and auditors.</li><li>Ensuring effective, pro-active communication with external and internal stakeholders</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Law/ Accounting and Finance/ Taxes or similar.</li><li>Approx. 3 to 7 years of post-qualification experience in preparation/ review of Indirect Tax compliance process including providing data/ information for international tax compliance and tax audit support.</li><li>Knowledge about Financial &amp; Accounting systems and processes.</li><li>Experience with ERP systems (preferred SAP) is required and awareness of or experience with tax compliance &amp; reporting technologies and effective process &amp; control operation.   </li><li>Willingness to learn new applications and explore smart ways of working.</li><li>Very good English; other language would be an advantage.</li><li>Very good Excel.</li><li>Good verbal and written communication skills with different levels of stakeholder, both internal and external.</li><li>Detail orientated, proven commitment to high quality delivery and continuous improvement.</li><li>Flexible, able to work to deadlines and to prioritise effectively.</li><li>Team player and a team-oriented person.</li></ul>#LI-DK3 #LI-HybridMaersk is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we embrace different styles of thinking.
