About the role:

Are you ready to drive global impact and build lasting strategic partnerships? Join Maersk as a Global Key Client Director and take ownership of one of our most significant lifestyle/retail accounts. In this highly visible role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end client relationship for a top-tier global customer. Youll lead a virtual, cross-functional team across commercial and operational domains to deliver exceptional value, drive growth, and strengthen long-term collaboration. This is an opportunity to work at the forefront of international supply chain solutions, engage with senior executive stakeholders, and influence the strategic direction of our business. While you won’t have direct reports, your ability to lead, influence, and coordinate globally will be essential to your success.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the global account strategy and execution for a key lifestyle/retail client, ensuring profitable growth and customer satisfaction across all products and services.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for senior client executives (VP, SVP, EVP, C-level), demonstrating executive presence and strategic advisory capabilities.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams across geographies, including commercial, product, and operations, to deliver seamless execution and value-added solutions.

  • Coordinate global bid responses, renewals, and strategic initiatives

  • Understand and manage multimodal logistics (Ocean, Air, Ground, Contract Logistics, E-Commerce) as part of the integrated client solution.

  • Report directly to the Regional Vertical Lead of Global Key Lifestyle/Retail clients

  • Meet and/or exceed Ocean and Logistic Services Revenue Targets

  • Travel approximately 30% of the time.

What you bring:

  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years) managing key or strategic global accounts within the logistics, supply chain, or freight forwarding industry.

  • Expertise in the lifestyle and/or retail vertical, ideally with exposure to large-scale, global supply chain solutions.

  • Deep understanding of multimodal transportation and logistics operations—including Ocean, Air, Ground Freight, Contract Logistics, and E-Commerce.

  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to develop and implement client strategies that drive revenue growth and account retention.

  • Executive presence and experience engaging with senior decision-makers.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, collaboration, and influencing skills.

  • A proactive, results-driven approach with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Comfortable operating in a virtual and cross-functional team environment.

  • Willingness to travel up to 30% per year (domestic and international).

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field required; MBA or relevant certifications a plus.

Job Type: Full Time

Salary: $120,000 - $160,000 USD*

Benefits: Full-time employees are eligible for Health Insurance, Paid Time Off, and 401k Match.

*The above-stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors, such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
