Your role centers on extracting data from diverse sources, transforming it to align with business needs, and loading it into Snowflake for analysis. Youll write complex queries for applications and BI dashboards, optimize data retrieval and visualization processes. Working collaboratively with architecture and data teams, youll play a crucial role in achieving business objectives through efficient data management and analysis. <i><b>This is an Individual Contributor (non-management) position. </b></i></div><h3>Responsibilities:</h3><ul><li>Craft and optimize sophisticated Snowflake SQL queries for efficient data processing and analysis.</li><li>Demonstrate proficiency in diagnosing and resolving query-related issues, including bug fixes and addressing ad-hoc problems.</li><li>Design and implement queries tailored for applications and business intelligence reporting needs.</li><li>Tackle data quality challenges head-on, developing and implementing solutions to enhance data integrity.</li><li>Utilize data aggregation and modeling techniques to create comprehensive reports in Domo.</li><li>Conduct in-depth data analysis to drive business performance improvements.</li><li>Evaluate and select optimal data sources to meet specific project requirements.</li><li>Team player but able to work independently with minimal direction.</li><li>Performance Tuning - Review existing SQL Queries, Execution Plans, Partitions, and Index(s) to determine performance enhancements for long running queries.</li><li>Excellent communicator and be able to produce clear and concise documentation.</li><li>Ability to work in a team environment.</li><li>Working independently with only high-level guidance.</li><li>Strong sense of accountability, adaptability, flexibility and a sense of urgency.</li></ul><h3>Basic Qualifications:</h3><ul><li><b>On-site working at the ML physical office, 5-days per week is required through the end of probation (6 months), transitioning to 2-day WFH post-probation. </b></li><li>University degree and 5+ years of practical experience OR 7+ years of practical experience</li><li>5+ years’ experience with writing SQL queries, functions and procedures.</li><li>4+ years’ experience with cloud computing services (AWS)</li><li>Experience working with data cleaning and standardizing process</li><li>Strong understanding data modeling (i.e. conceptual, logical and physical model design, experience with Operation Data Stores, Enterprise Data warehouses)</li><li>Requires strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities.</li><li>Must have the skills necessary to understand the overall data warehouse architecture.</li><li>Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.</li><li>SnowPro certification is a plus</li></ul><h3>Other Characteristics:</h3><ul><li>A collaborative team member with a demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships.</li><li>Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills, maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.</li><li>Exhibits excellent organizational and project management capabilities.</li><li>Thrives in fast-paced environments, demonstrating experience managing multiple responsibilities, tasks, and projects effectively.</li><li>Maintains a positive, proactive attitude, readily taking a hands-on approach to tasks and projects.</li><li><b>Team members are encouraged to work collaboratively with an emphasis on results, not on hierarchy or titles</b></li></ul><div><span><b>Work Environment: </b></span></div><div><b>We offer a mix of in-office and hybrid working.
