This role involves inventing new kinds of UIs for generative mediums, and bringing them to millions of Luma users in a fast iterative environment.</div><h3>Responsibilites</h3><ul><li>Work with designers, PMs, and other engineers to bring Luma to Android devices.</li><li>Build with some of the newest Android technologies like Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, coroutines and flows.</li><li>Participate in user research and testing to better understand our customers.</li><li>Share responsibility for testing, releasing, and maintaining our mobile apps.</li><li>Communicate and document architectural designs and requirements.</li><div><br /></div></ul><h3>Experience</h3><ul><li>5+ years of experience in developing and shipping delightful native Android apps, using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.</li><li>Strong software development skills.</li><li>Great design and UX taste.</li><li>Familiarity with frameworks like Kotlin Coroutines, Hilt, Room and experience working with media on Android, using libraries like Jetpack Media3, is a strong plus.</li><div><br /></div></ul><h3>Compensation</h3><ul><li><i>In addition to cash base pay, youll also receive a sizable grant of Lumas equity.</i></li><li><i>The pay range for this position is $160000- 225000/yr for Bay Area. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, candidate location, and experience. </i></li></ul>
