<div><b>Our App Core team manages the core tech and business foundations of all customer-facing applications at Text.com,</b><span> including web and desktop platforms. They work behind the scenes to make sure everything runs smoothly and is easy to build on for other teams. That means developing and maintaining a solid frontend and backend architecture that enables offline support for the desktop app and building tools and systems that improve our developers everyday work.</span></div><div><br /></div><div><b>In short, they ensure the entire Text.com ecosystem is fast, stable, and a great place to build products.</b></div><div><br /></div><div><span>We are currently looking for an experienced frontend engineer to join our team and support both web and desktop development.</span></div><h3>You will be responsible for:</h3><ul><li>The development of our main application — Text App — on web and desktop platforms.</li><li>Taking ownership of features delivered by the Text App Web &amp; Desktop team.</li><li>Collaborating with backend teams to design services that meet our needs.</li><li>Working with infrastructure teams to define infrastructure tailored to our workflowsImproving the Developer Experience for our core features, making them easy to use by other teams. </li><li>Writing unit and integration tests.</li><li>Designing and maintaining a stable, predictable, and fast CI/CD process for Text <a href="http://App.Building">App.</a></li><li>Building or integrating tools to help monitor and improve the quality and stability ofText <a href="http://App.Working">App.</a></li><li>Working closely with our Support Heroes to identify and fix bugs, and suggest improvements based on customer feedback</li></ul><h3>You may be a good fit for this role if you:</h3><ul><li>Are a frontend expert with deep knowledge of TypeScript and React, and you know how to structure scalable applications.</li><li>Are willing to work with Electron (you don’t need to be an Electron expert from day one, but you’re open to working with it and learning as needed).</li><li>Are used to writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, and see quality as a shared responsibility.</li><li>Are familiar with CI/CD processes and tools (we use GitHub Actions and Node-based tooling).</li><li>Aren’t afraid to peek into backend code (Go) to debug or understand how things work.</li><li>Care about making your work understandable and reusable by others (similar to open source practices).</li><li>Make architectural decisions, drive topics forward independently, and manage your tasks and priorities effectively</li><div><br /></div></ul><h3>Our stack and tools:</h3><ul><li><b>Languages &amp; platform:</b> TypeScript, Node.js</li><li><b>Core frameworks:</b> React, React Router, Electron</li><li><b>State &amp; data management:</b> React Query, Zustand</li><li><b>Tooling &amp; architecture:</b> Turborepo, Git, GitHub, CI/CD (GitHub Actions), Vite</li><li><b>Testing:</b> Vitest, Playwright</li><li><b>Monitoring:</b> Sentry</li><li><b>Nice to have: </b>Docker, Golang</li></ul>
