This position focuses on understanding and addressing the needs of the diverse ecosystem of users who engage with Overtures open data, schema, and GERS capabilities. Support<ul><li>Design and implement comprehensive onboarding programs for new foundation members and community participants</li><li>Create clear pathways for different types of community involvement (technical contributors, data providers, end users)</li><li>Provide guidance and support to help new members navigate foundation processes and technical resources</li><li>Develop self-service resources and documentation to streamline the onboarding experience</li></ul></li><li>Communications &amp; Content<ul><li>Develop content strategies that communicate technical concepts clearly, promote adoption, and community engagement.</li><li>Develop and maintain consistent, compelling messaging across all community touchpoints</li><li>Create and curate content including newsletters, blog posts, social media updates, and community announcements</li><li>Coordinate with marketing and communications teams on social media strategy, user-focused messaging, and a community newsletter</li><li>Coordinate with marketing and technical teams to ensure accurate and accessible communication of technical concepts</li><li>Maintain community documentation, FAQs, and resource libraries</li></ul></li><li>Event Planning &amp; Execution<ul><li>Plan, organize, and execute community events including conferences, workshops, webinars, and meetups</li><li>Coordinate both virtual and in-person events, managing logistics, speaker coordination, and attendee experience</li><li>Develop event programming that serves diverse community needs and skill levels</li><li>Manage event budgets, vendor relationships, and cross-functional coordination</li><li>Evaluate event success and iterate on programming based on community feedback</li><li>Maintain a “DA toolkit” GitHub repository with talk topics and workshop materials</li><li>Execute on-site event presence including booth management, demo coordination, and lead capture</li><li>Track event ROI through registration metrics, community sign-ups, and qualitative feedback</li><li>Represent Overture Maps at industry and developer conferences worldwide</li></ul></li><li>Website &amp; Digital Presence:<ul><li>Provide and approve major website updates and define content direction.</li><li>Approve design, content, and major updates for the website.</li></ul></li><li>Creative &amp; Design:<ul><li>Provide direction and approve visual assets, branding, and messaging use.</li></ul></li><li>Internal Communications &amp; Coordination:<ul><li>Lead cross-team updates, manage onboarding, and internal information sharing.</li><li>Set priorities for documentation and follow-up activities.</li></ul></li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Proven experience in community development, developer relations, or a similar role, preferably within a technical or open-source environment.</li><li>Strong understanding of geospatial data, mapping technologies, or related fields.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to define messaging and tone effectively.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to build and nurture authentic community relationships.</li><li>Strategic thinker with the ability to define objectives and interpret data.</li><li>Experience collaborating with marketing teams and leveraging their support for execution.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.</li><li>Self-motivated and able to work independently.</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3>Salary $110,000 - $127,000Location &amp;
